3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A black pour with ruby highlights and a creamy tan head. It has a roasted aroma with notes of peanut butter and milk chocolate. The medium body has a slick texture with average carbonation. It has a sweet taste that fades a little with the roasted finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured out of the can a deep almost black with a thick tan head. Lovely chocolate and cream aroma. Love love the flavor, just so easy to like with perfect creaminess and sweetness, although a bit more roast in the finish for that espresso type finish would have been a nice counter punch. SO happy though to find this in Mississippi.....best thing I can think of that I can find locally.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Strikes me as a milk stout. Sweet stout flavor, with a modicum of roasty bitterness. Surprisingly rich mouthfeel for such a low ABV of 5%. I'm not sure if Tallgrass can do any wrong -- I have yet to have an average beer from them. This one is tasty, and a quite nice session stout. Very smooth; very drinkable!

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Served from a pint can from a bonus from awiseman01. The appearance is a dark cola brown no real head. The aromas are mild roasted malts and grains. The flavors follow the nose, fairly mild. The mouth is medium bodied with a light carbonation. An average brew.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2010 16 oz can. Pours a nice deep brown nearly black with a creamy small tan head. Aroma is toasty and chocolatey as expected with some nice dark nutty toasty nuts. Flavor is actually really nice, deep toasty cocoa and some touches of coffee. Picks up some creamy almost chocolate milky. Type of flavors. Very smooth and creamy. Medium body and a soft carbonation. Maybe not the most. Complex stout but super smooth nd drinkable, I could drink this all night.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Jake65 hooked me up with a couple of these in a good trade.. Pours a standard dark black with a fairly long lasting light brown head.. spotty lacing and a decent cap.
Nose shows a light roasty element that combines well with the milk sugars.. some chocolate notes show with warmth.. nothing mindblowing, but seems about right across the board for a sweet stout.
Roasty malt and a light coffee element is moved forward and is well integrated by the lactose.. again the chocolate note is more as it warms up.
Body is very smooth... almost like an oatmeal stout.. light carbonation accentuates the silky nature.
Pretty tasty... I typically don’t seek out milk stouts too often, but this is well done and I am happy I have another can! Thanks Jake for the great trade!!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black 2 finger head receding to a thicker than average thin head.Lacing.
Nose is chocolatate malt a little roast espresso some blackberry, and some little hop notes more as it warms, smells tastey.
Taste mirrors aroama with good body at first with a chocolate mild roast light espresso, the finish is light almost thinand lets you know its 5% but the roast sticks through with a mild bittering.Theres some mild hop flavor towards the end also. A very good tasting stout.
