COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
BUFFALO SWEAT
(ABV 5.0%, 20 IBU)

We love this beer here at the brewery, and think you will have one of those “I’ve never-tasted-a-beer-like-that” kind of moments when you try it!

What we really like about this beer is the smoothness that brewing with cream sugar brings to the palate. This smoothness balances out the copious quantities of roasted barley used in the brewing process to create a rich, complex, and delicious beer. If you have not been a stout drinker in the past, give this beer a try. It might just change your mind about how dark beers should taste. It tastes so rich, but is surprisingly easy to drink!

Can’t find the sweat? Don’t sweat it. Just ask for Buffalo Sweat at your local liquor store or your favorite tavern.

Can. Black with a weak tan head. Aromas of, raisin and sweet dark fruit. Dry smooth chocolate flavor.

From can. Dark brown, almost black. Thin, tan head. Boozy nose withvsome toasted malt. Typical stout, though the cream negates a lot of the smokiness on the back end. Not bad.

Had a sample of this. Aroma: roasted malts, chocolate, maybe some roasted nuts. Taste was the same, but a sweetness comes into it. Good balance. A good beer.

Not an overly impressive stout, but solid. Pours black with almost no head to speak off. It smells of roasted malts and some chocolate malts, the beer is fairly roasted with some chocolate and lactose sweetness, the beer has good consistency

Pours very dark red with an ivory head. The nose is mostly chocolate a touch of coffee, as you would expect. Tastewise, chocolate dominates, with a nice sweet background that fills out the body and makes this a very easy beer to drink. Very nice.

From 16 oz. can to tulip. Pours a medium brown with moderate head. Sweet and funky on the nose. Not really pleasant in the aroma, taste or finish. Would not purchase. Pass.

This is my first try at the sweetgrass brewery. This beer is pretty good, don’t mistake it for guiness, but it actually has a better flavor to me. I know that is blasphemy but I think think one has just tastes better by itself.

The cream does go a crazy long way in this beer. The roasted maltiness adds a great chocolate flavor that the sugar balances out. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can pour into pint glass. Pours a pitch dark color with a thin and reedy off white head. Nose is milk chocolate and filter coffee. A very smooth cream stout with a great lactose feel to it. No real hop presence here, with only a limited bitterness. But hops are not what you came for here. Solid.

I wouldn’t have bought this if I knew it had lactose; I’ll pay for it later. Deep black color, not much aroma - a little sweet coffee. Flavor is lightly roasty, coffee and dark malt. Underwhelming. It seems to be all about the texture, which is very smooth but has no reason for its existence. Too smooth, sweet and thick to stand up to the one-dimensional flavor. This would be much better with oatmeal instead of the lactose, and a bit more roasted barley.
