COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
BUFFALO SWEAT
(ABV 5.0%, 20 IBU)

We love this beer here at the brewery, and think you will have one of those “I’ve never-tasted-a-beer-like-that” kind of moments when you try it!

What we really like about this beer is the smoothness that brewing with cream sugar brings to the palate. This smoothness balances out the copious quantities of roasted barley used in the brewing process to create a rich, complex, and delicious beer. If you have not been a stout drinker in the past, give this beer a try. It might just change your mind about how dark beers should taste. It tastes so rich, but is surprisingly easy to drink!

Can’t find the sweat? Don’t sweat it. Just ask for Buffalo Sweat at your local liquor store or your favorite tavern.

Wasn’t crazy about this stout from KC. Lots of malt, little hops. Not impressed with this pint can midwest brewer.

Pours thin and lite. Stout? Milk Stout? Buffalo Sweat Stout... I think that is it. Tastes of oversteapped tea that has been put into a milk style stout. Thin and roasty but not smokey... more burnt. Not a repeat offender.

Draft. From notes. Chocolate and roasty malt. A little thin and watery but a solidly sweet flavor. This beer was a pleasant surprise. I recommend.

Aroma is dark malts and hints of cocoa. Pours dark black with a nice tan head. The taste is nice and sweet with hints of cocoa, an earthy taste from the oats, and moderate carbonation. A nice stout for the price.

Surprisingly delicious. Tall head, sweet mouthfell. It just explodes in your mouth with so many different layers of textures. I will definitely have it again

Can. Pours deep dark brown/black with a nice tan head. Aromas of coffee, chocolate and roast. Flavor follows suit. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel leads to a robust but soft finish. Really good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAR 15, 2010 I love stouts and all styles of stouts. I have even tolerated mediocre stouts. However, as the Tallgrass website states, after drinking it you’ll say “I’ve never-tasted-a-beer-like-that” . You are right this is one of the worst stouts ever tasted. It is a watered down version that hints at A-B or MillerCoors style of craft beer imitations. Did not detect the coffee, chocolate notes stated. Also, it does not appear to pour a deep, heavy brown like most stouts.

Very drinkable stout. Not a killer Founders or Alesmith level, but pleasant

Pours very dark brown, no light coming through it, 2 finger khaki head. I love the aroma on this beer, lots of roasted goodness here, some sweetness as well. Taste is chocolate, little bit of coffee, pretty sweet. Good body, love this beer!
