Pours a dark brown with a medium brown head. Aroma is sweet chocolate and roasted malt. Flavor is roasted malt and hints of milk chocolate, coffee, caramel, and vanilla. Light to medium body with medium carbonation. Decent but quite a sweet stout.

Can pour. Black with light beige head. Aroma is chocolate. Taste is chocolate with a pleasant sweetness, and a bitterness that matches the 20 IBUs. Mouthfeel is right down the middle, thin for a stout and not as creamy as I had hoped. Excellent carbonation. Refreshing taste. The low ABV makes it an excellent choice for a sessionable stout.

Nice aroma of coffee, roasted malt, dark chocolate, and hints of vanilla. Ebony with a nice whitish tan head. Roasted malt, on the semi sweet side up front. Sweetness is muted. Notes of dark choclate and coffee. Finsihes slightly dry, with a sweet coffee flavor, and some sublte bitterness. Watery mouth feel. O.k.

Canned. Black pour, tan head faded quickly. Roasty malt nose. Rasty, slightly smoky, sweet chocolatey flavor. Moderately bitter finish. Mouthfeel is a bit thin. Nice flavor, well balanced, but nothing really stands out. A nice drinking stout.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black color no head. Slightly roasty milk chocolate aroma, hint of tobacco. Similar flavor, very creamy, sharp tobacco bitterness to go against the sweet malt. A bit thin but at 5% ABV I won’t complain. Pleasant drink.

On tap at Helen’s JAD in KC, MO. Dark brown pour with a deep tan head. Aroma is sitting right in the middle of roasty chocolate and lactose sugary sweetness. Flavor and body are floating somewhere between a milk stout and Moose Drool brown, with light roasted malts, slight sweetness, and very little in the way of hop presence.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma: extremely rich and chocolatey and nutty; pretty nice; Appearance: pitch black with thin white head that dissipates quickly; Taste: follows nose closely and is much better than usual cream stout; Palate: heavy body with long, sweet finish; Overall: quite good. Might be a cream stout I would get again.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Excellent dark, chocolatey taste and pretty creamy mouthfeel. Could stand to be a bit heavier in body and with less bitterness, but a good cream stout nonetheless! Good sweet flavor.
