COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
BUFFALO SWEAT
(ABV 5.0%, 20 IBU)

We love this beer here at the brewery, and think you will have one of those “I’ve never-tasted-a-beer-like-that” kind of moments when you try it!

What we really like about this beer is the smoothness that brewing with cream sugar brings to the palate. This smoothness balances out the copious quantities of roasted barley used in the brewing process to create a rich, complex, and delicious beer. If you have not been a stout drinker in the past, give this beer a try. It might just change your mind about how dark beers should taste. It tastes so rich, but is surprisingly easy to drink!

Can’t find the sweat? Don’t sweat it. Just ask for Buffalo Sweat at your local liquor store or your favorite tavern.

Can:   Deep dark brown, thin light beige head, sparce lacing.   Sweet lactose and soft roasted malts.   Faint bakers chocolate too.   Not as flavorful on the tongue.   Soft roasted malts, softer lactose like sweetness.   On the lighter side, could use a little bit more to make it a bit silkier.   Soft sweet roasted malts linger.   Simple, decent, clean, but wished it were a bit chewier.

16oz can thanks to RobertDale via local swap! Pours a deep dark brown/almost black color with a fingers worth of fizzy head. Aroma is nice. Roasted malts, chocolate cookies, and Irish cream. Taste is a little watered down, but flavor is decent. Chocolate, a hint of vanilla, lactose sugar, and a nice aftertaste of fresh coffee beans.

16 ounce can poured into a brand snifter. Pours a dark brown with a thin khaki colored head of foam. The aroma has notes of Oreo and coffee. Taste is creamy and roasty with some nice biscuity notes. A little different take on a sweet stout. Never had one quite like this before.

Pour from a tallboy can thanks to Bob in KS. Dark brown, looks pretty thin. Burnt chocolate nose. Nice taste, sweet, chocolate, roasted malt. The oatmeal makes for a nice mouthfeel on what is a very sessionable stout.

Deep in color with just some red edges. Medium mouthfeel reminds me of an Irish but with some more body. Light finish I would not characterize as sweet but still tasty.

Can. Pretty sure I have tasted a beer like this before but this is a solid showing. Smooth on the palate. A little acidic but not overbearing. Lighter. Sort of flavorless with the lactose dominating. Not bad but not sure I could drink a bunch of these.

Can. Deep brown body with a frothy beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, vanilla. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/creamy texture, moderate carbonation. Sweet milk chocolate taste with coffee/roast bitterness.

Beautiful aroma of toasted coffee with some toffee. dark rich pour with lots of tan head. Taste is about the ssame as the as the nose....but it tastes severly watered down. nothing really lingering on the palate. if it would have a thicker mouthfeel this would be a much better beer.

Dark brown color/ fleeting head. Nice dark roasted malt, coffee, mocha aromas. Light to medium body. Lightly sweet chocolate mocha flavors with mild roasty malts, a bit thin.

One of my favorite beer names and a new state for me. This beer pours black and red with a short lived tan head. Visually, it reminds me of a thin version of the style. A big roasted and coffee aroma with some dark fruit noted as the coffee settled. Flavor is muddled. Coffee and cream stand out but hops are in the background that don’t compliment. Some molasses, dark fruit, smoked peat. Warmer temps smoothed some of the rough edges but not quite enough to call this above average.
