COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
BUFFALO SWEAT
(ABV 5.0%, 20 IBU)

We love this beer here at the brewery, and think you will have one of those ďIíve never-tasted-a-beer-like-thatĒ kind of moments when you try it!

What we really like about this beer is the smoothness that brewing with cream sugar brings to the palate. This smoothness balances out the copious quantities of roasted barley used in the brewing process to create a rich, complex, and delicious beer. If you have not been a stout drinker in the past, give this beer a try. It might just change your mind about how dark beers should taste. It tastes so rich, but is surprisingly easy to drink!

Canít find the sweat? Donít sweat it. Just ask for Buffalo Sweat at your local liquor store or your favorite tavern.

Draft @ MCI Marriott. Nice roasty aroma. No lingering head, blackish color with red tint. Very smooth taste of roast. Full bodied. Overall a really nice stout.

Tallgrass Buffalo Sweat has a thin, fizzy, quickly-dissipating head, a dark brown appearance, and no lacing left behind. The aroma is of creamy, chocolaty, dark-roasted barley malt, coffee, and brown bread crust. The flavor is of that, with a touch of char, sugar, and very mellow bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and velvety, and Tallgrass Buffalo Sweat finishes semi-dry and highly drinkable. RJT

Poured out of the can a deep almost black with a thick tan head. Lovely chocolate and cream aroma. Love love the flavor, just so easy to like with perfect creaminess and sweetness, although a bit more roast in the finish for that espresso type finish would have been a nice counter punch. SO happy though to find this in Mississippi.....best thing I can think of that I can find locally.

Can from mcnellies in tulsa. Pours into a guiness glass thicker and blacker than I thought. About a finger of head. Sweet Chocolate and roasted malts on the nose. Very mild nose, moreso than I would have liked, but on par with a milk stout. Very sweet milky smoothness, but ends with a bitter finish. Much drier than any other milk stout I have ever had. Chocolate and roast on the palate. Not bad for a 5% stout. They pack a lot of flavor in it.

Sampled at the Richmond 14th Gathering. Nice very dark brown pour with thin tan head. Roasty and chocolate and not vegetal at all. A little watery thin, but good for the style. Love that this is being canned.

16 ounce can, 11 238 stamped on the bottom side of it. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. Aroma is roasted malt, bittersweet and milk chocolate, and some coffee. The taste is just like the aroma, with a good balance between the sweet and bitter flavors. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, itís a little on the thin side but also a bit coating with moderate carbonation. Itís smooth and very easy to drink. I think itís a solid overall brew, Iíd buy this again.

UPDATED: DEC 19, 2014 16 oz can. Pour a black color with tan head. Roasty, chocolate milk aromas. Sweet, malty, and slightly roasty flavor. Body is a touch thin for a stout and a little sweet. Very drinkable stout, I could know back a six-pack of these in a night. This is one of my go-to beers for a good session stout.

Poured from a can. Nice head that leaves a little brown lace as it dissipates. Smells of roasted malt. Creamy taste, smooth without aftertaste. It is sweet, and I could probably drink a whole pack of these without feeling full.

Had this beer at the Cedar Rapids Farmers Market. It was a hot day, so I was a little wary trying such a dark beer. However I was rewarded with a very smooth creamy taste with a hint of chocolate. Very good, would purchase more.
