This beer was known as Area 51 IPA during development. Ethos is our new West Coast style IPA...double dry-hopped using 6 different hop varietals. Juicy, citrusy, dank.

Semi-hazed sunny orange appearance. Resilient off white foam. Mandarin orange and mango aroma with supporting needly and familiar floral bitterness. Caramel sweetness filters in and this also affects the flavor enormously. Tropical hop flavors are featured but lack the electricity found in better examples; crystal malt’s grating, dull sweetness is distracting as ever. The palate is relatively clean given this, with lean carbonation; oily, blank bitterness in a long finish. A mash-up of old and new within the style; neutral.

Pours a nice red with off white head. A nice enjoyable Midwest spin on a West Coast IPA. Worth trying for sure.

Fluffy white head. Very nice aroma, hoppy grapefruit. Straw/copper appearance. Excellent grapefruit and lemon flavor in the mouth. Aftertaste has a little bit of skunk. I like this, but the aftertaste takes a bit off the score.

Poured from a 16oz can. Aroma - Some hints of tropical fruit. Appearance - poured into a duvel glass. Nice white fluffy head - about a 1 1/2 fingers and it is slowly dissipating. Taste - This is a good tasting beer. 110IBU’s Overall - tasty beer. Glad I picked up a 4 pack

16 oz. can from drsordr. Pours a clear orange amber color with a medium sized thick off white head that leaves solid lacing. The aroma has more citrus and tropical fruit character to the hops. The flavor opens with a little grapefruit citrus, but the earthy, dank hops are much more prevalent, toasted bread, caramel, moderate bitterness, dry finish.

Can pour hazy brownish gold. Nose tropical fruit hop and resin, some sweeter malt. Taste citrus bite up front, then quickly transitions from sweeter malt to dank and earthy hop. Mid palate bitterness continues through the finish.

Pint can poured in a tulip. The beer pours kind of a hazy apricot orange wiith a thick white head that leaves pretty nice lacing. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, pineapple, and faint hints of toffee. Taste is bitter pine resin up front. It develops grapefruit, orange, and similar citrus flavors. There’s also a bit of caramel/toffee malt in the background. Overall it is a pretty juicy beer that finishes very dry, yet quenching. I like this one.

Pours a golden orange with a big white head. Aroma of citrus and hops. Taste heavy hops and bitterness hints of citrus and pine. Overall not bad for a canned beer.

Nice aroma of citrus, floral hops, fresh. Hazy orange amber color, nice huge fine tan head. Rich caramel malt up front. Citrusy hop flavor invades. Bitterness intinsifies nicely. Finsihes with a mix of sweet and bitter. Some cattiness in there also. Bitterness lingers quite long but does not burn your taste buds off. Almost creamy mouth feel from the richness of the malt. Nice IPA

4 pack of tall boys from Trader Joe’s in St. Louis. Well balanced IPA. Not exactly West Coast, but it’s very hoppy. A little more malt on the backbone sets it apart from west coast counterparts. But I like it. A lot. Could be my go-to while I serve my time in Missouri.
