Sample pour at Beinnys. IPA which is phasing out the really nice oasis esb. It i a sharp and bitter ipa, west cost in style but lacking a bit of flavor and aroma, get it if you like dry and bitter.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
16oz can served in a Sierra Nevada IPA glass
A - Pours a hazy amber/apricot color. 1 finger of frothy head that really sticks to the glass.
S - Bright grapefruit mixed with some pineapple, spicy green hop juice, very hoppy aroma, like sticking your nose in a bag of crushed hop pellets.
T - Spicy hops upfront, bitter grapefruit has a good sweetness to it, mango, stone fruit, green grass mixed in, slightly toasted pale malts run underneath, has some raw earthiness to it. Bitterness ramps up on the finish with resinous pine/spruce right on the end.
M - Full body, solid creamy carbonation, thick feel, dry finish.
Strong work from Tallgrass here. Covers a spectrum of hop flavors, good fruitiness, good bitterness, a solid malt bill that backs it up and doesnít get lost in all the hops. Iíll be buying more of this.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours deep orange clear with a pillowy off white head that lasts and lasts. Nose is a heady blend of breads, light caramel like malts, and light toffee with citrus hops, spicy grapefruit rinds, resins, light pines, and some sweeter frutis-some of which is coming from the hops and some of which is coming from the sweet caramel malts and hop combination. Flavor sweet malts with a hefty mix of resinous hops. Finishes with a medium body with medium full bitterness on the finish. Pretty tasty beer. No doubt lots of cascades in this one. I hate to say this but it reminds me of that ballast point IPA.... what was that one called? Was it called Big Eye or something? who knows, cheers. Thanks frostyone for dragging this can through the bitter ice, snow drifts, cheese curds, amish buggies, the accents, Wisconsin, and the times of old to present me with this tall boy of hoppyiness. Cheers, bro
