This beer was known as Area 51 IPA during development. Ethos is our new West Coast style IPA...double dry-hopped using 6 different hop varietals. Juicy, citrusy, dank.

Amber - orange color. Modest head. Aroma slightly sweet and hoppy. Taste is well balanced with a slight citrus finish. A fine example of a west coast IPA.

Can. BB 2.12.14. Pours amber - nice lacing. Nose has loads of fresh floral notes and mild pine resin backed by caramel malt aroma. Tastes creamy with good malt structure, very pronounced hop profile throughout - sticky resiny notes of mangos and pineapples, some passionfruit and mild piney flavors - pleasant fruity/floral bitterness coats the mouth and lingers for a long, long time. This was apparently a very fresh sample and it was extremely good- even rivaling some top west coast ipas.

In short: A toasted golden IPA with an original fruity character. Good.
How: Can, 1 Pint, consumed fresh soon after purchase from a Kansas store.
The look: Clear golden-orange body topped by a small white head leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: Nose is fruity hops but not of the usual citrusy kind, here I got melons, apricots, exotic fruits, more... Taste has a strong toasted character, some caramel, lots of melons, bitter green grass, piney notes, gooseberries. Bitterness intensity in the medium range. Pleasant mouthfeel with a medium carbonation and a body that is more chewy than expected from a filtered IPA. Easy drinking IPA with its own personality. Good beer. I had to google what Ethos means, itís a greek word with a deep meaning or something, anyway whatís important is my google recent search history now has an entry Iím not ashamed of.

Can. Poured a slightly hazy pale amber with a large, dense, fluffy white head. Aroma and flavor had a great range of hop qualities: resinous, grapefruit, citrus peel, dank. Nice malt balance: some caramel, bready malt. Highly bitter, mildly sweet.

There's a good chance I could get called out for being wrong on this (I'm not hop expert), but I'd almost use this as an example of cascade hops. A very bright, citrusy IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ruddy amber with a thin off-white crown. Aroma is nice and hoppy with floral and citrus notes and a sweet malt backer. Taste is much better than 8-bit with floral and citrusy hops, caramel and an aggressive bitter finish.

On tap at Tapwerks! Pours a near clear orangish amber with an off white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has a nice bitter citrus and grass note with a backing note of bread. Flavor has notes of grapefruit and pine with a touch of sweetness and backing bread notes.

Can, thanks to soonerchamps. Pours a cloudy orange color with a big head that quickly fades. Aroma has a light mustiness with citrus and grassy hops. Tastes pretty solid. Fresh hops, light sweetness, moderate bitterness. Finish doesnít leave much of a lingering hop taste but not bad. Good, solid IPA.

Can. Drink by 12/25/13. Poured 11/2/13. Pours a cloudy gold color with a very dense, fluffy, off-white head. Looks fantastic! Aroma is citrus, grass, light vanilla, touch of caramel, nice hop presence. Taste is surprisingly big; grapefruit, bitterness, citrus, orange peel, grass, resin, juicy, burnt caramel; finish is bitter citrus peel. Excellent flavor! Beautiful, dense lacing. Medium carbonation. Full bodied. Fantastic. This is a great IPA!

A balanced resinous character ads depth to an already complex combination of grapefruit peel and malt. The malt contributes just enough toast to make the grapefruit feel expression resemble a flamed zest. There is quite a bit of structure from bitterness and a good bit of nose. The volume of flavor is not as dialed up as some DIPAís but itís close. This is pretty impressive.
