This beer was known as Area 51 IPA during development. Ethos is our new West Coast style IPA...double dry-hopped using 6 different hop varietals. Juicy, citrusy, dank.

Can. Deep orange color, cloudy, with lace. Nose of oranges and peaches, esters, crackers. Hoppy crackery flavor, minerals, oranges, peaches. Full and somewhat heavy. Sweet. Nice but not great.

Tasted from tallboy can into a nonic pint glass. It poured a nice clear reddish amber colour with deep sudsy white foam, lasting with a little lace. Intensely hoppy: grapefruit, black currant, pinecones, very very resiny and dank. A nice firm caramelly grainbill underneath, making it surprisingly well-balanced, all things considered. Itís bitter, but no way in the world this is 110 IBU. Thatís obviously a theoretical figure, based on impossible utilization rates. Iím glad, though, I prefer an IPA with lots of hop flavour and aroma, without the mouth puckering bitterness. Light-body, strong carbonation, lingering juicyfruit aftertaste. Good stuff.

Golden and slightly hazy in the glass. The beer starts nicely bitter, very floral with a malty body. The mainpart is malty, floral hoppy, nice bittered. The aftertaste in long, malty and floral, but the maltiness is a bit too intense for me and covers some nice floralness of the hops --> 10/12/12/12

Just a great IPA well balanced and a gret pour. Hints of citrus just the perfect blend of hops. heavy on the palate but not on aftertaste. I can see why this is getting such a good rating.

Big can in a tulip. Pours hazy copper with an off-white head. Aroma of floral, lightly fruity, and lightly citrusy hops plus caramel and pale malts and some dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not a bad beer, but not the best of its style.

Can. A- Tangerines, citrus, hops. A- Orange color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Hoppy, medium bitterness, slightly citrusy. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish. O- Quite hoppy, but bearable. I love the aromas but wish there was more tangerine in the taste. This is a mid level IPA in my opinion. It has a lot of nice things going for it, but it wasnít anything to be impressed with either.

(4 Hands Lupulin Festival - cask) orange gold with white head. Citrus hops aroma. Flavor is citrus hops, decent malt backbone. Good cask mouthfeel. Comes together really well.

Bought this on a whim, surprised at how much I enjoy it, have purchased a couple more times. It probably zeros in on what I like, my own unique tastes. A little more bitter, a little more dry.

1st Kansas beer c/o trade w/ UncleMike - thank you again! Aroma - most notable is of course the hops which in the nose range from floral to resiny to citrus; the malt has a caramel quality, and there is also a doughy yeast. Appearance - body is amber in color; liquid is clear; head is big about 3" and white, head retention is really strong hangs on for a good 3 minutes; nice dappled lacing as well Taste - is bitter but with a slight underscoring of sweetness; the hops are very nice Centennial I believe, the hop quality tends to be more floral than resiny or piney. The hops are complimented well by a nice cara/crystal malt. There is a juicy citrus about it as well that really makes this something special. Palate - body is light to medium; texture slightly oily; carbonation is average; the finish is slightly bitter and finish with a fruity floral quality. This is a really awesome IPA, and to think I may have never known w/o Mike. Thanks again. Instant classic!
