COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer was known as Area 51 IPA during development. Ethos is our new West Coast style IPA...double dry-hopped using 6 different hop varietals. Juicy, citrusy, dank.

I love the "elephant" IPA that has been retired to make room for this new Ethos, so maybe Iím a little bitter but......itís still a good IPA. I like it, I do...but just a little less than the old IPA. Time to go buy up all the "elephant" I can find before itís gone forever.

(can - 16 oz) Cloudy orange pour with a ton of white head. Huge citrus and pine aroma. Very juicy with some resin under it. Lots of citrus and hops in the flavor with a very peppery undertone that hits hard but then goes away for a lightly citrusy and sweet finish.

Can from ReedM. Pours hazy amber with a large foamy near white head. Aroma of light caramel with citrus and resin hop. Med body. Flavor is a little dank. Lots and lots of hop. Finishes not too harshly bitter. But very hoppy.

Much thanks to Dave. pours out a nice copper color with a big off white head. Aroma is of some nice bitter citrus, light pine, mild fruity notes and som bready malts. Taste drops off slightly, some citrus rind, light pine and bready caramel malts, light metallic notes and lingering bitterness. Solid

can @ Johnís Grocery / Iowa City IA --- Strong aroma of pine, clean and fresh. Clear medium orange amber, thick sudsy off-white head that stays at 2". blobs of lace. Taste is full robust malt that glides smoothly into the palate, then adds a strong shot of citrus hops that never quite take over. Both sides are effectively big, both earn their keep by the end of a long finish. A solid IPA.

Can. Very nice balanced IPA, and a first for me from Tall Grass. Came in trade from KC Granddaddy. Aroma is like opening a bag of centennial hops. Taste is remarkably balanced. Subtle malt and great citrus hop presence. Well done west coast IPA

A hazy golden orangish color with two finger off white head. Smells of citrus, pine, grass, lemon, orange, cracker. Taste is a fairly strong hop bitter, pine, citrus, floral, ends with a little honey caramel sweetness and cracker. Medium carbonation, strong bitter that stick on tongue, medium mouthfeel. Overall good rounded IPA flavors but not a standout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Clear amber pour, with a white head. Citrusy hops, bitter grapefruit, moderate caramel malt backbone, some pine, and fruitiness. Not bad.
