UPDATED: JUN 28, 2013 Clear amber pour with a 2-3 finger, fluffy, off white head that has great retention and leaves pretty nice lacing. Aroma is big on citrus and pine, some caramel and toast and some fruity yeast. Flavor is big on pine and citrus start to finish, somewhere in there a decent chunk of caramel, cereal, sweet, crystal-like malt, with some grapefruit, pine, cat box and weed to the finish. Medium body with a juicy entry, moderate strength, sharp carbonation, big acidic hop bite and dry, slightly astringent finish. Really good stuff, nice, classic West Coast IPA hop profile with a huge hop bite, a little too astringent in the finish though.

Can pour hazy brownish gold. Nose tropical fruit hop and resin, some sweeter malt. Taste citrus bite up front, then quickly transitions from sweeter malt to dank and earthy hop. Mid palate bitterness continues through the finish.

Pint can poured in a tulip. The beer pours kind of a hazy apricot orange wiith a thick white head that leaves pretty nice lacing. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, pineapple, and faint hints of toffee. Taste is bitter pine resin up front. It develops grapefruit, orange, and similar citrus flavors. There’s also a bit of caramel/toffee malt in the background. Overall it is a pretty juicy beer that finishes very dry, yet quenching. I like this one.

Pours a golden orange with a big white head. Aroma of citrus and hops. Taste heavy hops and bitterness hints of citrus and pine. Overall not bad for a canned beer.

Nice aroma of citrus, floral hops, fresh. Hazy orange amber color, nice huge fine tan head. Rich caramel malt up front. Citrusy hop flavor invades. Bitterness intinsifies nicely. Finsihes with a mix of sweet and bitter. Some cattiness in there also. Bitterness lingers quite long but does not burn your taste buds off. Almost creamy mouth feel from the richness of the malt. Nice IPA

4 pack of tall boys from Trader Joe’s in St. Louis. Well balanced IPA. Not exactly West Coast, but it’s very hoppy. A little more malt on the backbone sets it apart from west coast counterparts. But I like it. A lot. Could be my go-to while I serve my time in Missouri.

A well executed IPA. Big citrus hops with a fairly extensive malt backbone. Little grassy. Enjoyable, was bought in a mixed pack of cans from this brewery, who make very solid beers.

Can. pale amber color. Grapefruit in the piney grassy aroma. Some malty, nutty notes next to the massive grassy citric hopbitterness. Grassy, earthy citric finish with peppermint. Firmly hopped, delicious IPA.
