COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Halcyon Unfiltered Wheat is an unapologetic American Wheat with the rich flavors of Kansas grain, a fruity aroma and a taste like the very best day of summer. Just like the Halcyon Days of yore, this seasonal brew won’t last forever, but no worries: Halcyon will return next year sure as summer.

Perfect summer beer in my opinion. Real beer with thick flavor, but light overall feel.

Light yellow golden awesome beer looking awesome beer. Citra and banana and spices which the wife and I both agree is awesome. Thank you for losing the text when an error occurs on the iPhone. I had two good reviews rejected. I’m not happy. Oh I have two swallows left to enjoy. Good beer.

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2014 Filtered straw gold; the yeast always settles in a keg of this and it is the luck of the draw. Banana, sugar, lactic-like cream of wheat. Sort of unpleasantly chemical at times, and surrounded in aluminum and other off mineral notes. Basic bland filtered wheat character. Lightly peppery flavor with a quick bursts of pungent dill now and then. Golden sweet malt flavor, with a lemon tang that is too soft to enliven the watery, lifeless body.

Golden with a thick, meringue head and a faintly spicy nose . Mildly-carbonated with a somewhat thin mouthfeel followed by a lemony, underripe banana aftertaste.

Pours a light gold with a nice carbonated head. Hay, wheat and grain predominate the nose. There’s nothing subtle about the taste of wheat on the tongue. Very bready also, with a bit of lemony citrus. Medium mouth that seems to me a bit chewy, but that may be from all the wheat this beer implants upon the brain. This is an unexpectedly nice beer.

Can. Hazy peach pour, thin bit of carbonation and an aroma of sweet oranges. Flavor is also nice floral oranges, slightly creamy on the aftertaste. Nice beer, no off flavors anywhere.

Draft @ Bridge Tap House & Wine Bar, St Louis, MO. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity wheat malty aroma. Fruity wheat malty spicy flavor with weak hints of citrus. Has a fruity wheat malty spicy finish.

on tap @ Big Grove Brewing / Solon IA --- Clear light amber, good head cover, wide bands of lace. Good looking brew. Taste is wheat and malt with light papaya in the palate, adding mild pine bitters in a diminishing finish. Overall, satisfactory, but not particularly assertive. Good mild wheat ale.

6/14/14. 16oz can from Happy’s in Cedar Falls. Lightly hazed golden orange pour with a small but satisfying khaki head that cuts in half but sticks. Relatively plain aroma, soft wheat aromatics, light citrus. Plain flavor, but it’s nice. Lightly creamy, soft wheat, citrus, a touch of grassiness, and lingering biscuits. Tasty enough.
