COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Oasis is a Double ESB/IPAish beer that came about from playing around with one of Jeffís favorite homebrew recipes. Here at Tallgrass we love malt and we love hops, and this beer has both of them in record quantities; well, at least records for our baby brewery. At a hefty 7.2% ABV and 93 IBU, Oasis is a big beer that has to be priced a bit higher than our regular line of beers. We think that once you taste the over-the-top hops and surprisingly sturdy malt backbone you will realize why itís worth it. Definitely not a fruit-extract seasonal shandy, this beer is meant to be enjoyed on the back porch, the front porch, or even on the stoop. Whatís a stoop? Well, itís a good place to drink beer, is what it is.

Pour is gorgeous! Tan/brown with tan head. Nose is weak. Caramel and sugar smacks, but weakly so! Pine and floral hops are good, but a bit much. The finish is so long itís possibly eternal. I ate a tin of sardines after drinking this and the aftertaste was still there!

Pours a deep amber color with off-white head. Pine, citrus, and some floral notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a pleasing bitterness on the palate.

From can. Pours dark red with a fair bit of tan head. Fresh, hoppy aroma with some malt. Taste is similar, perfectly balanced with a nice kick toward the finish. Best Iíve had from Tallgrass thus far.

Surprised with this beer. Has a certain kick that I didn't expect. Good mix between hops and malt. Great, thick head. Dark red in color. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very well balanced beer. A healthy amount of hops, alochol, and sweet malty base. One of the go to tallgrass beers.

Dark orange-amber color with some white head. Aroma of citrus and bitter malts. Flavor is more bitter malt and citrus rind. Best ESB I can recall... that being said, I still have no reason to drink it again. Maybe the dry hopping is what makes it a bit better to me...?

Oasis is a pretty wild beer. Out of the can, itís generously heady and you can see a bit of hop resin in the orange body. It has a strong malt presence with a distinct toffee flavor. Thereís also a powerful, bitter hop presence. This beer has a sticky, chewy texture that contributes to a long, slightly fruity finish. Oasis is plays the bittersweet balance almost to perfection. Itís a must-have.

can. nice blend of malt and hops - malt hits first. not a lot of citrus but plenty of pine and resin. reasonably well integrated alcohol makes for a refreshing taste but an enjoyably hearty mouthfeel. nothing extraordinary but a solid all rounder. would definitely pick up if I ever saw it again.

Han from a can at Orcutt's place. Pours a clear amber with a nice head. Lots of maltiness and some citrus. A very nice medium bodied beer. Nice.
