3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pint can poured to a shaker at Lunar Brewing Co., with a black/brown color that showed a bit of ruby highlighting at the base, frothy persistence to the billowy, tan head foam, and waves & spots of clingy lacing. The nose was roastiness, expressive Ghiradelli-like, gourmet chocolate, with vanilla bean, not extract, blended in. The taste had a creamy, milk & chocolate nature to it, less roastiness, light to medium body, with low bitterness, and soft carbonation. Would have preferred some better texture, which came off a bit thin, but still liked this stout’s flavorful drinkability.

I like the regular one but the vanilla bean stout is not for me. It tastes like metal top me. Not my favorite but not horrible.
