16 oz can into a pub glass. Big head on this one, dark brown pour, but a little light shows in the bottom of the glass. I could smell the vanilla before I even picked it up. Aroma is vanilla, roasted malt, coffee, and some tobacco. Head isnít really foamy, more fizzy, and dissipates fairly quickly. Body is pretty light, less carbonated than I would have guessed from the head, really smooth, little sweetness. Muted coffee and dark chocolate. Vanilla isnít overpowering at all, really, and the coffee/vanilla thing is fairly balanced. Maybe I got a bad can, but my first impression was that it tasted kinda flat and very light bodied. I was excited to try this, but Iím kinda disappointed. That being said, itís only 5% abv, and its pretty drinkable so it might be a fun session beer.

Can. Very deep in color, nice foamy head. Aroma is roast and vanilla beans. Flavor is mild roasted malts, sweet but not cloying. Milk chocolate and vanilla are prominent on the palate. Medium bodied. Delicious and well made.

16oz can. Pours nearly black with a beige head that lasts. Aroma is mostly vanilla, some chocolate some roasted malts. Milky sweet stout with a hint of chocolate and lots of vanilla.

16oz can via the Local Why the Hell Not BIF. Pours a mostly opaque black with quite a bit of fizzy, sudsy beige head. Nose is kinda cool, lots of malt, some toast, quite a bit of raisin, some licorice too.. The vanilla bean is there, but in a very raw sense. Flavor sort of follows, chewy grains, malt, toast, thereís a fig jam thing happening too, some vanilla, brown sugar too. Slightly heavier carbonation leads to a bit of a heavy finish.

Borders on black, with a luminescent mahogany sheen around the edges. Velvety aroma of fresh baked cookie dough, chocolate, and raspberry. Itís quite straightforward, but the essence of vanilla here is deftly integrated into an ample malt structure; it never grows cloying or seems artificial.

The vanilla notes in the flavor are strikingly more herbal; they skirt the surface a bit more here. Sarsaparilla flavors blend with cinnamon bark. Here itís clear that there isnít enough malt flavor to support this level of flavoring, which is a disappointment given the promising aroma.

The thin palate accentuates this issue, of course; there is ultimately little to no body to support all this vanilla. Worse and worse it gets, unfortunately.

Rich, sugary malts are complimented by a mild, but distinct vanilla undertone. Medium body and moderate head, this solid black American stout leaves a pleasant coat on my palate.

Pours black with tan head. Vanilla, sweetness, roasted malt, and some chocolate on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a nice vanilla note.

This pours a dark brown color with a foamy, light brown head. The aroma is sweet with malts, coffee, and molasses but not much of a vanilla smell. The taste is smooth, sweet, and robust. The texture is lighter and not as thick or heavy as the regular Buffalo Sweat. There is a slight hint of vanilla, but itís not as evident as other vanilla stouts in the market.

This was a great variation to the regular buffalo sweat, pours black with a slight mocha colore head, it smells of chocolate, malts and vanilla. Taste is vanilla sweetness up front followed by some chocolate and roasted malt notes, the beer is fairly thick and the finish is clean

Black pour from draft at Rugans. Frothy tan head. Sweet and very vanilla taste. Creamy and smooth. Very good
