COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a Belgian Tripel that lives up to its name. Smooth and carefully crafted like a fine velvet painting, but with an 8.5% ABV this bird has some spurs! The beer pours a golden straw color with brilliant clarity. Topped with a lofty pure white head the beer has a wonderful floral nose, with subtle fruit notes. The taste is clean and crisp, with subtle fruit notes and a touch of candy like sweetness. The beer has a Champagne-like effervescent that provides a crisp offset to its sweet finish. While a pint glass is always nice, Velvet Rooster would also be at home in a tulip glass or Champagne flute. Something to crow about.

Sampled at the W&C Beer Fest 2014. It poured a clear golden color with a white head. The aroma was of malts, spices, sugar with a medium body and average carbonation. The taste was of candied sugar, light berry fruits with spices, yeast and malts. Nice.

[Can] Pours a bright golden color with a fizzy white head on top. Nose is of floral notes, sweet fruits, candi sugar and light lemon. Fruity taste mixes with clove, residual sugars, astringent grains and fusel alcohols. Flavor profile is on the rough side. Tasting notes from 2012.

c/o UncleMike. Thanks again! Aroma - combination of a pleasant cereal, barnyard Belgian yeast quality, and floral notes. Appearance - golden body color; clear liquid, with nice nucleation; 3/4" white head that dissipates into a layer of foam. Taste - sweet, with a nice champagne like quality; subtle fruit notes and nice classic Belgian yeast quality Palate - body is light to medium; texture is velvety; the carbonation is fizzy; the finish is crisp and has a nice dryness about it.

Poured out a hazy, golden color with a two-finger, off-white head of bubbly foam. It left sticky patches of lace on the glass. It smelled estery fruitiness and yeast. Nice aroma of grains and light caramel, too. Nice blend of spicy with a tasty fruitiness of apple and pear. Good grain flavor with a yeasty bite. Spicy with floral bitterness. The beer was good right out of the fridge, but after warming a bit, it really started to shine. Key: let it breathe a little before enjoying. It was crisp, sharp and smooth. A medium bodied ale with a dry, clean finish. This is a very good tripel. The floral finish sets it apart in the style.

Can. Really bold, unique flavor. Im not that familiar with tripels, but I really enjoyed this beer. Although its a can, the experience is quite good.

This beer is surprisingly smooth and easy drinking considering that it is 8.5%. The only criticism I have is that it should come in a 6 pack of tall boys instead of 4. Cans is a plus!

I had this at Flying Saucer. Pours clear gold with a white head. Taste crisp, light fruit, lightly sweet. I thought this was good. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
