Wild Plum Farmhouse Ale is a crisp, slightly tart, and uniquely refreshing beer. An infusion of wild plums, hand-picked at a genuine farmhouse, gives this beer a light tangy fruit flavor.

The perfect summer companion. Farmhouse ales are also known as ďsaisonsĒ (French for seasonal), a style of summer beers traditionally brewed by Belgian farmers to serve farm workers as part of their wages. Not a bad deal, if you can get it.

Wild Plum is available each summer, June through July.

Slightly hazy, light amber pour with a tall, chunky, off white head Aroma of spicy yeast, tree fruit, cereal, light funk, berry notes and spicy, light citrus and floral hops. Flavor is raw bready yeast, sweet malt, cereal, tree fruit, sweet and tart plums, spicy, floral and citrus hops. Lightish body light to medium body with a syrupy, slick and slightly solvent-like feel, a little like getting a bit of acetone in your mouth. A strange feeling that I usually only notice in higher ABV beers, probably has to do with high gravity/high temp. fermenting, but I donít really know what it is. Aside form the odd feel, pretty decent.

What better for my 300th saison rate then this beauty by the makers of Buffalo Sweat. Poured from a dented 2 year old can aggressively into a tulip glass. Carb is a bit unwieldy as 1" of beer creates 5" of head. Aroma comes up lively though the quickly dissipating head. Very light plum? moderate spices, and oyster cracker malts. Taste is dry aspiriny and lightly plummish. All around this really didnt need the word wild or really the word plum or really the word farmhouse ale in the title. If I was a Belgian farm worker and they paid me in Wild Plum Id probably quit.. no Id likely quit... actually id definitely quit.

Big can in a tulip. Pours hazy golden with a big, white head. Aroma of light plums, some spicy yeast, pale malts, and a weird bread/cracker note. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not bad but not great.

Pour on tap at All Pints North, clear golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of bread, biscuit, yeast into a bit of banana, bubblegum into some slight fruity notes, hints of spice. Taste was a mix of yeast, bread, dough into a bit of banana, slight white fruit, hints of esters into some pepper, slight grass, finishing slightly dry, slightly bitter.

Canned. Poured clear, bright golden with a sticky white head. The aroma picked up sweet plums and clove spicage over bready malt. The flavor found black pepper, cloves, and banana over bready malt and a touch of plum.. back to the spices on the quick, dry finish. Lighter-bodied and dry.. ok feel and flow.. overall not that interesting.

Gold pour with crazy white head. Aroma is light, soft sweet grains, and stone fruit. Flavor is somewhat sweet, flavors mimicking the aroma, only a hint of plum in the lingering aftertaste.

Pours a lightly hazy golden with a really big white head.

The aroma is just really a lot like bread dough. Itís got some decent spiciness to it. Not bad, not especially exciting...

The flavor is yeasty & a touch tinny. Some light tartness & fruitiness... but itís much more focused around the yeast driven spiciness. I could do without the metallic flavor, but itís not an offensive beer... maybe not something Iíd really get down on too often though.

Tall can, thank to jsowers, 01/21/2014. Pours hazy gold, huge rocky head takes quite a while to die down. Aroma is a cloud of yeast up front, soft, mild fruitiness and cereal malts, light dampness and funk. Taste is yeast, hay, subtle tartness, grassy bitterness in the finish, touch of fruit lingering in the aftertaste. Light, crisp body with medium high carbonation, finishes dry. Not much plum as others note. Still, donít understand the relatively low score, this one seemed decent at least, going in the right direction and pretty enjoyable.

Clear gold color with tall foamy head. Aroma is some funky grain and a bit of sourness. Taste is wheaty, a little spicy, some grassy hops and a bit of fruitiness from the plums that lend some tartness. Plum is very faint but there. Overall, just ok for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A can I received in trade from UNCLEMIKE Pretty typical as far as a "farmhouse ale" goes. I canít really detect the plums.. I could drink this again.. Just wish it had more plum.

Can from UncleMike in a locals trade, thanks! Pours pale yellow gold with a huge lacy white head that never dies. Nose is juicy fruit bubble gum, hay, lemon. Flavor is slightly sour wheat, earthy bitterness, plum skin.
