Pours dark brown almost black with a small kacki head with no lacing. Looks somewhat watery and without body. Nose is big roast char and lite hops, but not like a black IPA. Flavors are very roasty char black patent malt. very burnt finish. Not what i was expecting and a tad under the normal rating for this beer. Somewhat thin body however very full flavored, mostly roast and char. Decent brew!

A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, tan head.
T- Roasty, watery, coffee, cocoa, dry, slightly bitter.
P- Medium body, thin texture, average carbonation, roasty dry finish.
O- Pretty thin and bland. Dare I say it? This would benefit a lot if it was barrel aged. Just needs more.

On tap at Bluetick brewery. Black, thin beige head. Smells like coffee and some dark chocolate, with some smokey, toasty notes. Taste is more chocolatey than the aroma, with coffee notes and a dry woody finish.

16 oz. can. Opaque ebony with a thin film of beady bubbles. Aroma is nearly scorched grain, espresso, dry grass and a hint of caramel. Taste is dark chocolate, dark toasted bread, dry grass, old coffee, marshmallow and a hint of tart berry. Near-medium body has medium-high fizz that’s tolerable and a decent balance.
