Zombie Monkie is a dark, rich porter, carefully brewed for the post-apocalyptic world to come. Crafted with lots of roasty dark chocolate and specialty malts, then inoculated with enough hops to add a floral/citrus character in the finish. It’s hardy, complex, and interesting, because you might be drinking it for a long time.

Delicious porter with an intense smokey chocolate aroma. Beautiful dark pour. Almost as satisfying as a great stout.

This canned brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy brown colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque except at the edges black brown colored body. The balanced aroma was malty. The semi-flat mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering mild roasted malt aftertaste. The yummy flavor contained notes of black malt roasted malt toasted malt burnt malt chocolate brown malt and dark malt. A wonderful best in class brew.

Shared 16 oz. can. Pours brown with a large beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Taste is roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate. Pretty good. Bonus point on overall score for the tactical grip "To prevent slippage while fleeing." The can does indeed have a substance sprayed on it which makes it easier to grip.

Aroma: intense roastiness with some coffee; Appearance: pitch black with foamy white head that dissipates slowly; Taste: follows nose; more like a stout than a porter; Palate: heavy body with long, roasty finish; Overall: quite good; would buy again.

Can shared by "AKFaust". Colour...very dark brown with a thick head. Nose...roasted nuts and meat with notes of chocolate and toast. Palate...clean, thin and toasty/rosary with burnt bread, biscuits and a tangy feel. The finish is tight and laden with anise.

Dark pour, tan head. Nose is charred grain with a whiff of coffee. Bittersweet. Middle is coffee grinds, dark roasted malt, with some molasses. Finish is bitter with a solid grain body.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours black with a tan head. Taste dark chocolate, roasted malt, hint of coffee. I thought this was ok. I wouldn't drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

16oz can thanks to Bob. Pours a dark brown/almost black color with a finger of creamy khaki head. Aroma of roasted malt, old coffee, metal, caramel, and vanilla extract. Taste of burnt malts and earth up front, followed by bitter coffee beans and cardboard, and finishes with caramel and hints of vanilla.

It is a nice porter. Nothing really special about it to make it any better than another. Nice color, nice aroma...smooth drinking and not bitter.
