Aroma: initially reticent, after 20 minutes it showed pear and apricot. Flavor: pear, apricot, papaya, orange peel. Long finish of fruit flavors with a light bitterness. Comment: superb carbonation added to the drinking experience.

Bottle at RBJG#2 - Grand Tasting Tim’s Place. Clear yellow - white head. Bretty, citrus, rice, minerals, lemon, peppery, crispy, wheaty, apricot, nice champagne bubble notes. Lovely.

My Bottom Line:
Spicy, citrusy hops top freshly-cut haystacks as perfumy, cologne-like alcohol warmth abd herbal bitterness wash away each sip.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam tops the misty pale straw gold.
-Mouthfeel is appropriately dry.
-Esters are subtle but contribute nicely to the fruity side of the hoppiness.
-I’d love to try this side-by-side with Avec Les Bons Voeux. Not that they are extraordinarily similar, but because there are very few renditions of strong, pale Saisons that are this well-made.

Bottle.

Awesome stuff. Sweet and dry, as Andy said like a Japanese Bon Veux but with the funk ramped up a level. Great presence.

Bottle at Tim’s RPJG#2. Sweet and dry with some dusty aromas and fruity abricot aromas. Some sweet champagne. Medium to full bodied. Lively carbonation.

RBJG2. Clear blond white bubbly head thick. Aroma is sweet, saison like, touch of booze. Taste very nice, Japanese Bon Voeux, creamy, sweet. Booze hidden. Very nice.

Bottle at RBJG 2 Grand Tasting, thanks mike12da. Cloudy yellow colour with a white head. Heavy lacing. Hazy golden colour with almost no head. Caramel malt aroma. Sweet caramel, plum, port flavour.

Bottled. Nice spicy nose, rice, dry citrus, alcohol. Dry, light malt flavor, light but persistent carbonation. Nice lemony flavor, with a bit of rice. Approaching a Bon Voeux.

Bottle. Thanks to mike12da. Lovely, fruity and estery aroma: lemons with some hops behind. Cloudy gold-honey color with a creamy white head. Mild, sweet and sour initial; mid palate has some funk and flavors go tangy (lemons, pears, peaches). This version has been juiced up to 9% and hopped differently from the regular Saison One. I heard a lot of "Mmmm.." around the room as we tasted it. So creamy. Great!
