75 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark yellow with a small white head. Aroma is dry, phenolic and light spiced. Smooth, phenolic and light toasted malty. Light buscuitty malt. Smooth and bitter dry to herbal finish.

Bottle - Sweet yeast grass, citrus and a bit of cheese funk. Cloudy yellow with a foamy white head. Caramel, candied sugar, grass and orange/lemon citrus. Effervescent and light bubbly creamy mouthfeel. Light funk that I think will get better with some age.

Bottle shared by Ferris at the RBWG 2014 grand tasting, thanks! Pours a cloudy light gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has lots of flora and grass with a sweet grain backing. Flavor has a very floral note with sweet grains and a hint of grass bite.

My Bottom Line:
This citrusy, dry Saison’s pleasant aromatics hang on till the very end over mild straw-like cereals and brettanomyces allusions.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the pale straw blond.
-The herbal hop bitterness creates a great finish.
-The high level of dryness makes this one stand out to me.
-This is a wonderful base Saison with which Eigo-san can play for years. The Barrel-Aged version is becoming mindblowing already...

750 ml bottle. Slightly dark golden color with a foamy, pillowy head. Fruity, spicy aroma with honey and touches of green apple and grapefruit. Fruity, rich malt flavor with mandarin orange, honey, apple, rice, and pepper. Crisp, tangy, rather light in body and somewhat spritzy. An excellent saison. though I would prefer less rice, as its lingering after taste is unnecessary and takes away from the hops. It is there to make it more "Japanese," I guess.
