2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft 6 ozíer at the Missoula brewpub. An opaque orange beer. Sticky head. Drinks with a metallic, blood orange funkiness. Almost tart. Why do people throw hops ata beer and call it an IPA? (#4665, 7/5/2012)

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pint at Craft Beer Market in Calgary, AB on 06/14/2012. Colour: light red and medium orange with medium white head. Nose: Lots of forest notes, including pine, wet soil and vegetation. Touch of marachino cherry adds sweetness. Taste: Medium-light sweet, medium bitter, light sour. Quite hoppy but not much else to speak of beside pine-dominant hops. Needs to be a bit more complex.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not an insane hop, but a nice bitter and floral beer. Beautiful grassy and citrus fruit notes in the aroma with light caramel sweetness and mild bitterness on the finish. A good session IPA overall, but not a hop bomb.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap in a tulip served cold. Bartender scoffed at my attempt to warm it with my hands.
Not much of an aroma but I could make out slight caramel and pepperyness.
Pours cloudy with a dark amber color with an almost non existent head. Starts sweet and ends with an astringent bitterness. Somewhat oily in texture with too little carbonation. I'm not a fan, I'd pass next time, unless I knew it was served properly.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pint with chicken cobb salad. Orange and hoppy. Nice IPA. Not extreme or as big and bold as the description. Perhaps big and bold compared to beers that are not IPAs. Tasty enough.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured up on tap at the Tamarack brewpub with clear copper body and gold edges as well as a light tan head that leaves behind some sheet lacing. The aroma has plenty of pleasing yet somewhat modest pine hoppiness with faint snippets of sweet malts well off in the background. The taste has rich chewy hoppiness coming from a nice level of pine hops but also some floral hops and sort of a resiny grassy note. This is a pretty darn good IPA that brings up and lingers with near resiny bitterness into the after taste.
