COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the tradition of the classic English style pale ale, Lakeside ESP (Extra Special Pale) is a refreshing light bodied pale ale. Perfectly balanced with subtle caramel malt sweetness and the bright floral aroma of fresh Northwest grown Willamette hops, our ESP is named after the place that so graciously accepted our brewery as its very own. Lakeside Montana is an Extra Special Place (ESP) where we chose to embark on our journey as a family and craft our beer locally, fresh, and part of a community. So, welcome to Lakeside!

Light floral and vegetal hop nose, light sweetness, a little soapy. Pours golden, a little haze. Flavors of vegetal and floral hops, soap, a touch of pale sweetness. Light bodied, somewhat vegetal soapy finish. Possibly my least favorite of their beers.

Draft 6 oz’er at the Missoula brewpub. Mpours a very light amber color, almost gold. This drinks cleanly, but another bland/boring beer. Lacks any oomph, and might even be a little soapy. (#4663,7/5/2012).

On tap at brewpub in Missoula. Clear amber color with barely any head. Aroma fairly weak, almost sweet like a Vienna style lager with faint floral hop smell. Taste is nicely balanced, but fairly weak. At least the low carbonation is true to the style. Overall not bad, a good mild session beer. --- Mike, Missoula MT

Poured up on tap at the Tamarack brewpub with clear deep gold body and off white head. The mild aroma has timid vague hops and some sweetness in the background. The taste has grainy malts and some decent hoppy notes like spicy hops and a bit of faint floral hops too. This is smooth and sessionable and is pleasingly hop forward for my taste.

Draft at the missoula. Pours a crystal clear pale gold. Mild sweet toasty grassy nose. Creamy medium body, lively carb. Crackers and grass mid palate. Mild finish. Nice light sessioner.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours orange copper with a thin off-white head and a floral aroma. There is a carbonated caramel malt flavor with a subtly bitter finish. Nice balance.

Part of the tasting tray at the brewpub. Light copper amber, and one of the only samples to leave ropy lace. Orange citrus peel hoppy character, nice underlying caramel malt structure. Light pine in the finish. A phenomenal session ale- light without feeling thin, delicious!

Sample at brewpub. Light orange colour. Aroma is very citric. The flavor has biscuit, grapefruit, caramel and pine. Very enjoyable.
