Rating #924 - January 18, 2014 - 473mL Can from Coop Pours a ruby amber with a white cap that recedes to a ring. Aroma has a hint of malty sweetness, and a strong citrus/floral hoppy aroma. Medium carbonation. Bubbly, dry mouthfeel, medium-bodied. Light bitterness in the finish, quite smooth. Hoppy punch and a marbley-malty sweet note. Very nice.

Sixteen ounce can. Pours amber, of course, with a decent whitish tan head. Aroma of malts, with a crispness in there. Taste is medium malty, with a touch of sweetness. Very smooth and drinkable. Thumbs up for sure!

Pours deep amber red with little head. Tastes of hops and a little malts. Not terribly complex and very little aroma.

473ml can pours a deep amber color with a 2 finger off-white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild with caramel and chocolate. Taste is a roasted grain and citrus hop bitterness with a big caramel and chocolate malty sweetness. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. A little on the sweet side, but still a pretty good amber ale.

Brown with hints of amber. Off-white frothy head leaves great lacing. Roasted malt with a creamy, bitter malty finish.

Pours out a bright ruby red with a slim beige head. The nose is caramelly and nutty with grainy overtones. A hint of citrus hops and nuts in the middle with way too much sweetness throughout for an amber ale. I just couldn’t care for the mouthfeel and the sweetness

Poured up on tap at the Tamarack brewpub with deep copper brown body and thin off white head. The mild aroma offers up a bit of roasted malts and sweet malts to sweet nuttiness. The taste has plenty of roasted malts and some dark roasted malts flowing into malt sweetness along with faint spicy hop notes. This is a pretty roasty amber.

Part of the tasting tray at the brewpub. Clear medium copper amber, low aroma of fruity caramel. Candy-ish caramel sweetness, lightly fruity. Pretty thin with very low bitterness. Not my favorite, given that I’ve had some excellent hoppy ambers lately.

Draught at brewpub. Red/amber colour. The aroma is citric, sweet and malty. The flavor brings orange, grapefruit, pine, caramel, toffee and a nice soft bitterness. A decent little session beer.
