Brown with hints of amber. Off-white frothy head leaves great lacing. Roasted malt with a creamy, bitter malty finish.

On tap. Deep amber with a white top. Scent is sweet malts. Caramel taste with some light nuttiness

Pours out a bright ruby red with a slim beige head. The nose is caramelly and nutty with grainy overtones. A hint of citrus hops and nuts in the middle with way too much sweetness throughout for an amber ale. I just couldn’t care for the mouthfeel and the sweetness

Poured up on tap at the Tamarack brewpub with deep copper brown body and thin off white head. The mild aroma offers up a bit of roasted malts and sweet malts to sweet nuttiness. The taste has plenty of roasted malts and some dark roasted malts flowing into malt sweetness along with faint spicy hop notes. This is a pretty roasty amber.

Part of the tasting tray at the brewpub. Clear medium copper amber, low aroma of fruity caramel. Candy-ish caramel sweetness, lightly fruity. Pretty thin with very low bitterness. Not my favorite, given that I’ve had some excellent hoppy ambers lately.

Draught at brewpub. Red/amber colour. The aroma is citric, sweet and malty. The flavor brings orange, grapefruit, pine, caramel, toffee and a nice soft bitterness. A decent little session beer.

On tap. Clear brown amber with a white head. Nose is lightly toasted malts, some caramel and nuts. Medium bodied yet still somehow a bit thin, flavor just isn’t working for me. There’s an odd roasty flavor, some nuts, not much in the way of hops or bitterness. Finish is short, some caramel.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear nut brown. Very roasty, nutty nose with notes of cocoa. Medium bodied with well rounded mouthfeel and nice, dense malt character with some salty, grassy hops atop. Balanced bitterness. An harmonious amber ale.

Pours clear red/amber, thin white head, spotty lacing. Nose is rich caramel malt, spicy grapefruit hops; Flavours are medium-bodied, a bit clunky. Based on the nose I expected better things in my mouth... Ah well, still a decent Amber, just rather disappointing in the mouth.

Sample at brewery. Clear amber, small white head. Aroma of caramel, nut, toasted malts. Taste is rich with burnt malts, very smooth, darn good Amber.
