2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not a big fan of this one...malt and some sweet roast in there, but the palate isnít my favorite and it just lacks complexity. Not a bad beer, but just not one Iíll grab again.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks good for the style; a mostly transparent amberish copper with very light caramel head. Smells malty with notes of caramel, chocolate, and a touch of toast. Tastes like it smells with a smooth medium-bodied mouthfeel. A solid example of the style.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Appearance: attractive amber red, with a finger of creamy light tan head and some persistent lacing. Aroma: caramel, toffee, general maltiness. Taste: sweet toffee, light caramel, hint of vanilla, some brown sugar, brown toast. Finish: lasting sweetness, with that smooth toffee note lingering, and a bit of bready malt note as well ; really nice palate is light enough to keep the sweetness from being too strong. Notes: This is a one-note beer, but that one note is very, very, very good. Iíve been on a lasting quest for a truly awesome Irish Red, and this has everything Iím looking for. Wish I had grabbed more than a single can. 12 oz can purchased from Knightly Spirits in Orlando, Florida.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Location: 12 oz can from Syosset Beverage, 11/5/14
Aroma: The nose is heavy sweet/caramel, with some underlying earthy notes as well
Appearance: This one pours a clear orange-brown color with a sheeting beige head and mid lace
Flavor: Heavy sweet taste as well, fairly one-dimensional caramel, light roast and light bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, leaning light, with a cloying feel, and an off finish on the mouth
Nope, this canít have been what they were going for. This thing just gets way too cloying for anyoneís good. Next time, remind me to pass...

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Malty irish red ale with light caramel sweetness and minimal hop bitterness. The kind of beer you get people into beer with, in the best way possible. In an alternate universe this beer is clamored for like Fat Tire once was.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
it is a nice Irish style amber. smooth with a light malt and hop in the foam and a bit of caramel to enhance the smoothness. finishes again beery and i like the brown hue in the brew, moderate mouthfeel not at all annoying.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Had this at the 2014 RB Pittsburgh Summer Gathering at Horny Develís place. Actually it was after the equinox at the beginning of fall, but DILLIGAF. Big thanks to James & Michelle for hosting such a nice spread of quality beers and for this particular beer a GIANT thanks goes out to artmcd8. Nice gentle yeasty aroma. Friendly big head. Poured from a can. Barely any co2 on the palate. Has some body to it. No real ill ale attributes. Overall, I found this quite acceptable. Does have a tad of saddle in there on the finish. Yes, pretty good darker beer experience.
