smooth with apparent alcohol. licorice and a long finish there is some rye like component. with a low aroma this brew has some coffee and a nice brown head.

reminds me of a pirate ship .. . deep roast, nice solid bitterness .. . medium mouth feel .. . the abv shines through a bit .. feels a touch out of whack .. . i liked this well enough .. . . let’s stick to regular monopoly. the game is crazy enough as it is; how can an iron be a landlord?

Draught at the brewery. Dark color, brown head. Strong taste with liquorice, chocolate, coffee and long lasting burnt finish. Excellent stout.

Dark black in color, clear with a thin tan head. Dark malts, chocolate and coffee flavors and aromas. Tasty and dry finish this was a very good Stout.

On tap at TBBC, poured a dark black color with a tan head, aromas of malt, molasses, and coffee. Tastes like the aroma with a nice dry finish.

From an old tasting note. @ the brewery - sampler. Palate is thin and crisp. Bitter chocolate, musty, smoke, nutty. Roasty burnt malts. Pretty good.

Draft @ Brewpub: Dark black color, tan head. Thin body and impact. Light roast and thin body for an imperial stout. Bitter tail. Very light aroma, almost like it’s on nitro.

Draft. A black beer with a light tan head. Scent of malts and a hint of molasses. Taste is roasted coffee with a smooth light bitterness. Dry finish.

A deep dark stout with a thin dark brown head. In aroma, strange black olives, brine, bitter chocolate, soy sauce. In mouth, a silky stout with bitter chocolates, nutty notes, light warming alcohol, not bad. On tap at brewpub, May 24 2010.

On tap, at brewery. Pours a pitch black body with a small wispy brown head. Very roasty nose with some lighter coffee, chocolate, and a light hint of smoke. The flavor is heavily roasty with some heavy malt bitterness. Medium bodied, a little sticky, with soft fizzy carbonation. Not so good, a little too acrid and burnt.
