3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap @ Tampa Bay Brewing. Pretty much black with a finger of khaki foam. Has sort of a coffee and coffee ground aroma and flavor to it. Plenty of roasted malts, dark chocolate, and a hint of smoke. Maybe a little leafy. Slight orange rind. Nice note of licorice, too. Bitter finish with just mild sweetness to the flavor. A touch on the watery side is my only real knock on it.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft at the original Tampa location. Brown in color with ruby highlights, not much head retention. Aroma is on the weak side even with it warm. The lightest of roast and faint chocolate. The flavor is charred and ashy, lingering char malt after the sip. As for the body... Well, it’s very light when comparing to many others in the style.

English style porter, a little bit soft, but a good one, light chocolate and caramel aroma and flavor, not roasted burnt character. Medium bitterness.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light & sessionable porter! While the flavor is good, it’s lacking complexity. Pours well & the aroma is good. A little added flavor could go a long way for this beer!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the Coral Springs office. Very dark brown pour, almost black with a pretty, thin tan head with gleaming white froth, like milk atop a fresh cappuccino. Aromas of caramel, hour old coffee, vanilla, leather, big cocoa, roasted malts and a little oak. Taste was similar, focusing on the coffee and chocolate, somewhat stout-like. Palate is pretty smooth.
