On draft at brewery poured a darkee amber with aromas of caramel, malt, some light sugared candy. Flavors are the same, balanced for the mlst part. Decent amount of malt and sugar in aftertaste, decent scotch ale.

On tap at the Coral Springs location. The beer has a ruby red color and a nice cream colored head. Aroma are tones of caramel, raisins and a little chocolate. The taste is a medium sweet with tones of caramel, raisins and some dark fruits. Also a light bitterness in the finish. The aftertaste is warm, full and has a light bitterness.

Clear amber with a sweet nutty aroma, a bit of brown sugar, and toffee. Tastes sweet and malty with a wee touch of peat, but with some nutty toffee and a little, little kick of molasses. Really tasty and balanced.

Listed on brewpub chalkboard simply as "Scotch Ale," I assume this is "McBrew's Scotch Ale." On tap 4 oz. sampler at Tampa Bay Brewing Company in Yber City (Tampa), FL. Clear, orangey brown with an off-white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of toffee, brown sugar, brown bread and alcohol. Taste of brown sugar, alcohol, brown bread, toffee and cloves. Medium/light body and medium/high carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

was told this was just their Scotch Ale, so i’m assuming this is it .. . deep brown .. . bubblegum and deep molasses .. . nice solid mouthfeel .. . a bit sweet but it was decent enough .. . . no, you’re thinking of someone with two knives.

On draft at Tampa Bay Brewing. Pours a scotch ale brown color with a tan-ish head. Nose is sweet malt, some maple, some mild smoke, and some toffee. Flavor is similar- nice big malt character with some light maple, smoke, and toffee. Hops are mild, but add balance on the back end. Medium in body for a scotch ale and a nice scotch ale overall.

im not sure which scotch ale i had as i didnt see the sign, but if this was it, it was pretty damn impressive. a tangy tart of mild hops balances nicely with the nutty caramel like malts. the whole thing finishes with a somewhat astringent clean palate. very nicely done. i think scotch ales are becoming my new favorite style.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear, dark, reddish-amber hue with a small, foamy, ivory colored head head. Scant, wet spots of lace dot the glass. The aroma is of burnt caramel, bronzed candy, raisins, and a hint of toffee, with very little balancing hop character. It smells overly sweet and boozy, lacking depth. Like the nose, flavors are a disappointing, showing mostly burnt sugars and caramel, hints of dark fruit, and little else. Sugary on the tongue, with some mild alcohol burn and low to moderate carbonation, the palate is also a letdown. Average scotch ale at best.
