On tap at the brewpub in Fayetteville, AR. Pours a black body with a finger-width, dense and creamy, brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is grainy with some chocolates, roasts, and dark fruits. Flavor is similar. Roasty and grainy with a balanced chocolate malt backing and touches of dark fruits. Finishes dry with a light, earthy bitterness and balanced sweetness. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a moderately lively carbonation. Overall, a decent porter. Balanced, easy drinking, and enjoyable.

(Draught) Pours a cloudy brown body with a medium beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted grain, and coffee. Flavor of chocolate, coffee, some dark fruit, and roasted grain.

Draft at the source. Very dark murky brown color, small brown head that settles quickly. Aroma of coffee grounds, dark fruit. Taste is rich, roasty prunes and coffee. Medium body. Great start for this new brewery!
