On cask at Tap East, Stratford, 13/3/13. Clear, dark chestnut. Decent white head, diminishing. Flat. Aroma - Sweet malt, faintly roasty. Strong fruity-sweet perfume, bit of sweet spice/cola. Unusual. Taste - Light, sweet, dark fruity malt. Slight bubblegum / perfume sweetness. Unusual fruity sweet & ester. Bit of dark grain. Light body. Perfumey, slightly drier, tart finish. Quite unusual, but enjoyable, though the perfumeyness is a bit distracting.

Cask at the brewpub, London. Pours clear amber with a sturdy, beige cream head. Lovely nose, light toffee, hints of toasty bread and chocolate. Light sweet flavor with toasty dough malts, light toffee, a few leaves, hints of dry cocoa. Light in body with fine carbonation. Lightly sweet to finish, with more toasty bread, light toasty sugars, mellow toffee. A pretty classic mild. Nothing to shout about, but fine.

Half, cask at the pub and microbrewery. Tiny layer covering a deep dark brown coloured body. Mild caramel malts to the nose together with a peaty touch. Smoked malts followed by semi-sweet dark malts and malt bitterness on the swallow. Thin, without being diluted (Stratford, London 03.11.2012).

Cask@Tap East, London. Copper colour, small beige head. Aroma is fruity, nutty, caramelly and also has some mild toffee as well. Flavour is fruity, wooden, nutty and some mild wooden and herbal notes. Balanced and nice mild ale!

Cask at Tap East, London on 5th August 2012 during the Olympics. Deep brown to ruby with disappearing head. Sweet fruity aroma. Bittersweet in-mouth and on the finish, with a zingy mouthfeel and medium body.

On cask @ the brewpub. Clear amber body with a nice tan head. Aroma has roasted malt, caramel and dry fruit with chocolate. Flavor is sweet, nice roasted malt, dry fruit, dark chocolate and a pleasant bitterness. Medium body and a fine smooth and roasted aftertaste. A very tasty and pleasant beer, impressive at this low ABV.

Cask at Tap East. It pours deep ruby, with a thin beige head. The nose is wood, leather, dark fruit, blackcurrant jam and coffee. The taste caramel, wood, dark fruit, leather chocolate and a touch of smoke, with a clean finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Easy drinking and smooth.
