3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask at Tap East - 06/09/12.
Clear golden amber with a medium bubbly white head which retains fairly well.
Earthy hops on the nose, pale malt and summer orchard fruits.
Taste follows nose with a little caramel and fruity undertones, I detected pears and grapes. An earthy tasting beer.
Medium bodied, moderate carbonation leading to a slightly sweet and dry finish.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap East, July 2012. With Piers. Chewy and hoppy beer - fresh and drinkable. Hops are perhaps a bit too upfront for my taste, but OK.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Deep chestnut amber color with a frothy white head. The nose is light berries and dried grass, nettles. Not massively fragrant. The taste is strong tangy grass, light lemon and blackberry. Notes of acidic red apple cider. Some peppery jam. Medium body, a bit astringent. Overall, decent.
