COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ale Camino is named after El Camino Real, The Historic Route 101 which runs along the California Central Coast. El Camino Real translates as "The Road," "The Journey," or "The Way." Tap It Brewing Co. is located just off this historic route in the city of San Luis Obispo, and its where this family-run company brews their extraordinary hand-crafted beers. You can taste the Journey, and the way of passionate artisanal brewing in every sip. Ale Camino is an American style Amber Ale hand-crafted with a blend of malt and hops, which give it a truly unique character. The aroma blends sweet malts, a hint of chocolate, and a light earthy nose that highlights the malty aromatics. Ale Camino has a round and full-bodied flavor, full of sweet malts, chocolate malts, crystal malts, and hop varieties Willamette and Zythos added for minimal bitterness and aroma, hand-crafted together for a rich, complex flavor and aroma. This amber finishes with a clean, semi dry and light hoppy finish.

Bottle from Marketplace Alehouse and Deli, Doncaster. Clear amber. Film of off white head. Sweet, sticky malt. Dried, dark fruit. Some bubblegum. Taste is fruity sweet. Light dry. Light bitter. Palate is sticky. Finish is short, dry, and bitter. A bit dull, really.

Nice malty caramel aroma with a hint of fruity hop aroma. Taste is very much the same as the aroma. Not a bad amber ale.

65 cl bottle, 5.5%, 4.90€. Red brownish color, clear, frothy offwhite head. Nose is very malty, toasted grains, chocolate. Aroma is malty, roasted malts, toasted malts, chocolate, cocoa poweder in the finish. Also a soft fruity note maybe peach or kiwi. Resembles a bitter, something in common with stouts and dunkels as well. Taste is mildly bitter. Rich taste, light to medium body, fluffy texture. Nice.

Clear red - amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is crisp and semi dry. Light malt, trace of creamy sweetness. Little light orange and a touch of bitterness. Smooth finish. Inoffensive but pretty dull.

Flaske: Endnu en øl købt på en campingplads. Mørk ravfarvet med et kæmpe skumhoved. Kraftig duft af malt og hårdt ristet kaffe. Næsten for overdøvende i smagen, men den går an.

Slightly hazy but definitely red, with a lasting head. Malty nutty smell to this one. A quick hop bite that moves on to a walnut bitter as it fades. Leaves a slight aftertaste of nut and grain.

Fatehunter (1220) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - APR 13, 2014
Pours a finger of head on a clear red colored body. The aroma is grainy and danky or earthy. Not bad, but tough to like. The taste is heavy on the malt, touch of caramel, fairly sweet, mild grapefruit bitterness in the middle. The texture is sticky and a little heavy. This amber ale drinks like a double red ale.
