COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here at Tap It Brewing we take a unique approach toward crafting an India Pale Ale and challenge the current status quo. The goal? To craft an India Pale Ale hoppy in flavor and aroma that goes down smooth. We utilize the avant-garde method of First Wort Hopping, the technique of adding hops to the kettle before boil. This creates a harmonious explosion of hop aroma and flavor noticeable throughout the tasting experience. Fragrances of tangerine and grapefruit entice the nose. A thick hazy rich head leads drinkers toward an experience rich in citrus and earthy flavors ending with a smooth, sticky finish. The complex floral and citrusy tones from Citra and Simcoe hops welcome you, while two more hop varietals mate smoothly with four malt varieties for an unmatched aroma. Altogether, a crisp pleasurable full bodied taste. A word of caution: Drinking Tap It IPA around friends may cause envy.

6 pack with no freshness date, but it is a new arrival to the area. Lets see if it lives up to the GABF Gold. Pours with a clear golden orange hue, with a just barely off white head. Very good retention and lace. Aromas are strongly fresh and hoppy with papaya, tropical fruit, melon, tangerine and fresh cut grass. Low malt, a bit of a harsh ester/alcohol combination. A bit doughy. Mostly hops. Flavors are dough, bready and grainy. Some alcohol, low bitterness, light DMS. Flavors are not nearly as hoppy as the aroma. Tropical fruit, grassy, tangerine. Melon. Moderate carbonation. Malty balance. Good, fresh, decent, but "fresh" for "fresh" I’d take the cross town rival, Union Jack.

This is the best IPA I’ve every had! Tons of aroma from the first wort hopping that lends your palette a floral and citrusy note. Some of the hops include citra and simcoe which gives a bit of grapefruit flavor to it. It’s not as hoppy as most IPAs because of the malt that’s added to balance the intense flavor. Not to mention, it won 1st place at GABF in the IPA category! Definitely recommended!

Nice aroma, with floral hops striking through grapefruit, pine, oranges and sweet bread. The taste is hoppy but also sweet. Some citrus and grapefruit with sweet malt, and low bitterness. A nice IPA, I acutally prefer there APA.

This has to be by far my favorite IPA (yes I don't really like IPA but is one is an exception to the rule). This beer pours a beautiful golden color with a thick head. It has a sweet citrus aroma. This is a gray well put together beer the aroma and flavor are amazing. This has to be the way that hops was meant to taste in a beer. Well done. Well done. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear orange color, medium head, good lacing. Mostly grain/hay aroma with slight hops in the mix. Flavor is more IPA. Pine resin and more of the grain. Nice overall but not spectacular.

On tap at Harry’s Hofbrau in The RC. Massive grapefruit and orange aroma. Beautiful. Pours a pale gold that is clear with a full white head of small bubbles and nice lacing. Pronounced citrus (orange/grapefruit) and freshly cut grass balance well with above average bitterness and slight malt that could lend more support. Finishes slightly dry.

Light orange pour with a white head. Light herbal notes followed by tons of pineapple, grapefruit, orange, and tangerine. Floral notes in the background, some sweet bread, and a hint of caramel. Nice bitterness on the palate to balance the little bit of caramel sweetness. Plenty of fruity hop character. Great citrus notes and a light tropical quality. Very enjoyable.
