COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here at Tap It Brewing we take a unique approach toward crafting an India Pale Ale and challenge the current status quo. The goal? To craft an India Pale Ale hoppy in flavor and aroma that goes down smooth. We utilize the avant-garde method of First Wort Hopping, the technique of adding hops to the kettle before boil. This creates a harmonious explosion of hop aroma and flavor noticeable throughout the tasting experience. Fragrances of tangerine and grapefruit entice the nose. A thick hazy rich head leads drinkers toward an experience rich in citrus and earthy flavors ending with a smooth, sticky finish. The complex floral and citrusy tones from Citra and Simcoe hops welcome you, while two more hop varietals mate smoothly with four malt varieties for an unmatched aroma. Altogether, a crisp pleasurable full bodied taste. A word of caution: Drinking Tap It IPA around friends may cause envy.

On tap at Oggi’s in Mission Viejo. A for effort, but seriously it tasted like eating a flower. Also, very earthy. I like citrus bombs, so this one was hard for me to drink and rate. I think it is worth trying.

Bottle. Clear amber with a big white head. Aroma of fresh hops, citrus, pine, floral with some light malt backbone. Flavor of bitter hops mostly with a light caramel malt sweetness, alcohol well hidden. Medium body with a long, bitter finish. This is a solid IPA, lots of hop bitterness and very drinkable.

Fairly average across the board. Not really hoppy enough and a bit doughy maltwise. Not bad but nothing id seek out.

Light orange/golden in color from the tap with a foamy head. Scents and flavors of citrus and floral and a hop taste but smooth finish on the palate.

Orange colored with light, creamy head. Clean, refreshing taste. Nice hops aroma and taste. This is a less malty style of IPA that I generally prefer. No sweet aftertaste. Tasty!

Bottle thanks to thome50, pours a hazy golden/orange with a medium khaki head. Aroma of citrus, topical fruits, and caramel malt. Taste of mellow sweet tropical and citrus fruits with a nice clean crisp bitter hop spice. Nice drinkable IPA!

Bottle shared by brew3crew. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy west coast hoppy aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bitter flavor with a moderate to heavy bitter finish of medium to long duration. Very good brew.

Bottle. Hazy dark golden pour with a slick of white foam. Aroma is sweet honey with pine, underlying bitterness and a clean and dry malt backbone. Taste is light hop bitterness with pine and a nice sweetness. Slightly corse taste but it ends relatively dry. Not bad really.

Bottle to taster (thanks brew3crew). Looks solid; a transparent orange with off-white lacing. Smells and tastes of bitter hops with a nice, light West Coast mouthfeel. A good example of the style.
