COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here at Tap It Brewing we take a unique approach toward crafting an India Pale Ale and challenge the current status quo. The goal? To craft an India Pale Ale hoppy in flavor and aroma that goes down smooth. We utilize the avant-garde method of First Wort Hopping, the technique of adding hops to the kettle before boil. This creates a harmonious explosion of hop aroma and flavor noticeable throughout the tasting experience. Fragrances of tangerine and grapefruit entice the nose. A thick hazy rich head leads drinkers toward an experience rich in citrus and earthy flavors ending with a smooth, sticky finish. The complex floral and citrusy tones from Citra and Simcoe hops welcome you, while two more hop varietals mate smoothly with four malt varieties for an unmatched aroma. Altogether, a crisp pleasurable full bodied taste. A word of caution: Drinking Tap It IPA around friends may cause envy.

Bottle shared by brew3crew in Dec. 2012. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor had dank hops, earthy notes, light resin, moderate citrus hops, toasted bready malts with hints of caramel. Decent enough ipa from a previously unknown brewery.

Appearance was clear deep gold with lasting creamy white 1 finger head, rings of lacing. Aromas are citrus, tropical and soft sweet pale, crystal malts. Taste was pineapple, melon upfront gives way to soft sweet malt middle, Then sticky piney, grape finish. Palate was soft smooth creamy. CO2 with medium body, then lasting fruity and piney balanced finish. A wonderful West Coast IPA, try it.

UPDATED: MAY 27, 2014 Bottle thanks to Wittales in the local 3.14 swap. Pours a chill hazed golden orange with thin lacy off-white head that sticks nicely. Aroma is big on the resinous citrus and pine of the west coast hops. Taste follows, a hint of malty back end, bittersweet finish. Mild carbonation, balanced and easy to drink, solid west coast IPA.

Bottle from Darby’s Liquor Store, Vancouver
Hazy golden color. The fruity hops aroma reaches you when the beer is still in the bottle. The mouthfeel is lean and rather dry; the malt flavor has toffee accents; the hopping is resiny, oily, piney, and fruity (with a touch of tropical fruits as well).
Very nice. I would like to drink it fresh from tap.
