Here at Tap It Brewing we take a unique approach toward crafting an India Pale Ale and challenge the current status quo. The goal? To craft an India Pale Ale hoppy in flavor and aroma that goes down smooth. We utilize the avant-garde method of First Wort Hopping, the technique of adding hops to the kettle before boil. This creates a harmonious explosion of hop aroma and flavor noticeable throughout the tasting experience. Fragrances of tangerine and grapefruit entice the nose. A thick hazy rich head leads drinkers toward an experience rich in citrus and earthy flavors ending with a smooth, sticky finish. The complex floral and citrusy tones from Citra and Simcoe hops welcome you, while two more hop varietals mate smoothly with four malt varieties for an unmatched aroma. Altogether, a crisp pleasurable full bodied taste. A word of caution: Drinking Tap It IPA around friends may cause envy.

A fairly standard IPA. Super hoppy, notes of citrus and a bit grassy. No sweetness which would probably benefit the aromas in this IPA quite a bit. Still, an all around fairly decent IPA.

On tap. Clear amber, thin white cap. Nice lacing. Aroma is outstanding - grapefruit, tropical fruit accompanied by a heavy dose of pine. Taste starts sweet, but quickly transitions to citrusy hop bitterness. Finishes dry. Medium body with crisp carbo. Legit IPA.

Poured three fingers of head on a clear, amber colored body. The aroma is a nice mixture of mango, mandarin and pine. The taste has a nice fizzy lemon beginning that rolls into a pine and grapefruit bitterfest. The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation. Enjoyable.

A hazed dark amber IPA with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet biscuit malt with citrus pulp, light sulfur and resinous and piney hops, classic c-hops, lightly doughy. In mouth, a nice sweet biscuit malt with fruity notes, orange pulp, candy, and floral and resinous hops, lightly green hops, nice.

355ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a 2 finger white head settling slowly to reveal some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is floral and citrus (grapefruit and tangerine?) with some caramel. Taste is a grapefruit and pine hop bitterness with a caramel malt sweetness. Medium bodied with adequate carbonation. Nicely balanced IPA which is very flavorful and definitely worth a sampling.

I can taste the Citra hops for sure, maybe the Simcoe is adding a bit of depth that Citra-only IPAs can have. Overall a very solid IPA worth at least a try if you get the opportunity.

12 oz bottle, poured into Sam Adams style glass. Aroma brings through the grapefruit. Appearance has minimal head and white foam. You can taste the citrus and medium bitterness. Palates with medium body, average carbonation, and very sticky. Solid IPA overall.
