COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here at Tap It Brewing we take a unique approach toward crafting an India Pale Ale and challenge the current status quo. The goal? To craft an India Pale Ale hoppy in flavor and aroma that goes down smooth. We utilize the avant-garde method of First Wort Hopping, the technique of adding hops to the kettle before boil. This creates a harmonious explosion of hop aroma and flavor noticeable throughout the tasting experience. Fragrances of tangerine and grapefruit entice the nose. A thick hazy rich head leads drinkers toward an experience rich in citrus and earthy flavors ending with a smooth, sticky finish. The complex floral and citrusy tones from Citra and Simcoe hops welcome you, while two more hop varietals mate smoothly with four malt varieties for an unmatched aroma. Altogether, a crisp pleasurable full bodied taste. A word of caution: Drinking Tap It IPA around friends may cause envy.

Advent Calendar. An excellent IPA - smooth and drinkable, yet bitter and hoppy in the right places.

Craft beer advent calendar day 9! Pours a clear deep golden colour with a small creamy white head and a bunch of lace. Aroma is sweet tropical fruits(tangerine), citrus, lightly earthy, and sweet pale and caramel malts. Taste is tropical fruit(tangerine), citrus, high bitterness(though very well balanced likely due to the first wort hopping), earthy, faint alcohol, and light caramel.

CBAC day 9. Pours a clear golden color with a frothy white head that leaves tons of lace. Aroma of citrus and tropical fruits with a good whiff of bready malts. Taste is citrus and tropical hops, bready malts, grapefruit, orange and a nice bitterness throughout not astringent. Overall a great ipa.

355ml brown bottle, from Craft Beer Advent Calendar. Golden colour, a little haze. Small white cap that leaves good lacing. Nose has orange and grapefuity hops and a whiff of malt. Taste has a nice malt base with a little sweetness coming through, strong hops - grapefruit, orange peel and a little pine. Big bitterness and long citrus/grapefruit aftertaste, just a hint of alcohol in there, but all in balance. Nice mouthfeel, just the right amount of carbonation. Solid IPA, bring this to Canada.

Aroma is mildly hoppy with notes of citrus fruits (tangerine and grapefruit). A crisp, smooth beer that tastes of the afformentioned citrus fruits. One of the better IPAs I’ve had. Delicious.

Day 9 2013 Advent. I have not heard of this brewery but the beer looks interesting. Crisp dark amber. Light head with nice lace. Golden malt scent. Kind of delicate golden malt and hop candy flavour. Could drink all day. Very balanced.

Aromas of tangerine and grapefruit, bread. Fruity and citrusy with lingering grapefruit. Great malt balance, with the hops still in the front. Really good IPA.
