Palidor19 (1206), Brandon, Florida, USA Apr 27, 2008 taste to artificial in the sweetness department. The malts and hops are both low quality tasting.
jcdsmack (18), Henderson, Nevada, USA Jul 17, 2008 This beer is so malty sweet, it’s like a pale ale in sweetness and caramel but has very little hops to balance it out. think domestic macro with a bunch of sugar in it. I don’t know exactly what it is if it’s corn sugar or honey or whatever but its just way too sweet with no balance at all. Probably doesn’t help that my friend and I tried it betweeen well hopped german style homebrew and guiness. ajm (262), USA Jul 13, 2008 Whatevsies. Bottle from a Ralph’s in South Pasadena. A body that is as un-bitter as it is unsophisticated. The malt/grain stands out more than I’d like it, but the finish is quite soft - smooth apple and sugar like a pale ale. nick76 (1970), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 19, 2008 The aroma is the hoppiest of the Tap Room beers but is balanced by a cheap sweet malt. The appearance is light amber with a decent head. The flavor is sweet like corn syrup with hints of grassy hops and metal. The palate is average. Overall it’s drinkable but I would not get it often. lightning9191 (46), Christiansburg, Virginia, USA Jun 3, 2008 This beer pours with little head and a brassy color. The head settles down quickly. The aroma reminds me of an American lager...there is not much aroma here. The flavor delivers about the same package. This beer doesn’t taste horrible (most of the time...the last one I drank had some serious DMS issues). It is slightly malty with little redeeming qualities. The body is light and the carbonation is medium. There are much better amber ales out there. superdude1979 (26), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Jun 1, 2008 Very smooth with a sweet aftertaste. I can see where others say it is not really an amber, not dark enough, but overall a decent beer.
