durhambeer (323), Durham, North Carolina, USA May 3, 2008 At WBF in Raleigh. Sweet and malty for a pale ale. Hops not presented much. Just okay.
Butters (278), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jul 19, 2008 Clear orange amber pour with fair tan head. Floral hop aroma. Cardboardy flavor is balanced with sweet hops that have mellowed. Don’t know how old the bottle was though. nathan30533 (21), Dahlonega, Georgia, USA Jul 12, 2008 Not your best Pale Ale. I am no impressed with the palate, very bighting to the tounge and not the greatest taste either. Pours a bronze color with a white head. Overall not my favorite pale ale. vikingbeercbus (14), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jul 7, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours amber, browns and golds. One finger head, rather frothy. Nose hoppy. Tastes more of malt, burnt caramel and molasses, particularly on the end. The slightly bitter finish left my mouth a bit gummy. mcc5468 (28), USA Jul 3, 2008 Poured a light/cloudy gold color. Advertised as an APA but the aroma was malty. The taste was extremely malty - I was looking for hops but got suckerpunched with the malt taste. It just wasn’t what I was looking for. This was almost a macrobrew Lager. Just bad. bdigi66 (408), Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA Jun 27, 2008 Bottle: Amber pour with a sizeable white head with a decent amount of lacing. Aroma hints at floral hops, sweet caramel malts and mild fruity esters...flavor follows with a ever-so-subtle bitter hop finish. Too sweet, tastes like I’m sucking on a sugar cube wrapped in a hop leaf.
