COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A rich, reddish-brown German ale as brewed in Dusseldorf. Longer cold maturation mellows the palate. Medium-bodied with a hint of caramel and toastiness and a pleasant, lingering hop finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours with a clear, deep golden body with a small white head and good lace. Aromas are bready, toasty, light hops and a touch of esters (otherwise quite clean). Flavors are bready, light fruit, tea and caramel. Grainy, bready, toasty. Lively bubbles. Medium dry finish.

A: The pour is a light brown color with a thin layer of white foam. S: The nose doesn’t have too much going on. The caramel and toasted biscuit malt aromas are pretty much the extent of things. T: The flavor was similarly one-dimensional. Mostly toasted and caramel malts with perhaps a touch of spicy hops. There really wasn’t much to this beer, unfortunately. M: The body is medium with a slightly creaminess to the feel on the tongue. D: This is a rather bland and one-dimensional beer that just didn’t do much for me. While it wasn’t bad, it didn’t make me want to go back for more.

Bottle; orange-amber in color with a huge off white head. Aroma of nuts, caramel, soap and flowers. Flavor was a bit unexpected. Pretty dry; earthy and nutty. A bit on the hoppy side for the style. Nice palate. Very drinkable, albeit a bit strange. Malty with a bit of floral/soapy finish. A pretty solid beer.

One of my other favorite beers at Taps. I happened to try the cask conditioned the night I was there and stuck with the Alt the entire night. Fantastic aroma and great malt flavor. The color and consistency were perfect! The dry finish also made the beer an excellent dinner companion.

Copper colored pour with a thick off white head. Very dry finish on this one. Saaz I believe was written all over this one.
