GABF 2011 Media Luncheon. Hazy light gold, small head. Smells of wheat, citrus (lemon mostly), clove, and light banana. Pretty big body for the style, with a delicious long linger. Balanced, but not much bitterness. Light floral spicy herbal notes with wheat and citrus tones leading the way with some typical wit yeast. Not bad.

Growler thanks to the boys at Taps. Rating #14. Thus was real nice, big spicy aroma up front, but it mellowed out real nice as it warmed a bit, solid wit. (1812)

Poured a beautiful hazy orange/yellow. Orange is far in the background as the curry-esque coriander takes center stage. I prefer it the other way around but this is an interesting take on it.

A: The pour is a very pale, very hazy straw color with a fluffy white head.
S: Coriander and sweet malts make up the bulk of the aroma of the beer. Some mild sweet orange notes too.
T: The flavor is primarily sweet malts with bread and toast coming through. A noticeable amount of orange rind and a mild spice note.
M: The body is light and the carbonation is moderate.
D: A little too sweet for what I like in a witbier and not quite enough of the yeast (ester) component.
