COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A light to medium-bodied, slightly roasty English ale. The small percentage of highly kilned chocolate malt adds a touch of nuttiness.

Had the cask version. They got the temperature right. Pretty creamy at first. Then a solid version of a brown ale with no extreme beer touches.

A: The pour is a dark amber color, that one could certainly call brown, with a creamy off-white head. S: A slight acidity to the nose along with some nuttiness. However, there isn’t as much toffee and sweet malt as I would normally expect from the style. T: Good nuttiness and plenty of sweet malt and toffee on the flavor. The acidity that I picked up in the nose manifests itself as a slight, underlying tartness on the flavor. M: The body is medium with a carbonation that might be a little aggressive for this kind of beer. D: I was able to take this beer down, but it wasn’t really a pleasure to do so. Not offensive, just not exceptionally good.

Brown with a thin head. Aroma of chocolate, toffee, and nuts. The flavor is the same with a moderate roast accompanying the chocolate, toffee and nuts. Pretty mild, but very clean and sessionable.

On tap poured a clear reddish color with a small off white head. The aroma was mostly of carmel malt and a slight toasted biscuit. Taste was clean malt with a nice hop balance. A good clean example of a brown ale.

Clear reddish brown appearance. Malty, nutty aroma. Dryish chocolate malt flavor, hazelnut, fairly dry in the finish. A lighter session brown ale, closer to the English style.

Not a very good brown in my opinion. The beer was malty and had a medium brown body with an okay head. This is one of the beers that is in their regular line-up, so it is nothing special.

(Draft) Pours a medium brown body with a descent off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts. Flavor of roasted malt and nuts.

Clear brown brew with a light/medium body. Nice roasty nose. A nice kick of fruit at the finish.
