On tap at The Daily Pint. Pured hazy amber/orange with a nice cream-white two-finger head with terrific lacing. Strong sharp citrus hops aromas, mostly grapefruit with some orange and lemon. Grapefruit also dominated the palate, but enough honey and caramel sweetness to cut into the bitterness. Creamy mouthfeel, medium body, nice carbonation and a clean crisp finish.

On tap at the brewery both on cask and tap. It pours golden orange with an off white head. The aroma is very nice with some fresh citrus, pine, and a touch of sweet maltiness for balance, but definitley dominated by potent American hops. The flavor is very satisfying with potent fresh citrusy grapefruit, orange, pine and minor notes of sweeter peach and caramel. The finish is very nice and bitter. A very solid IPA. Good work from Taps!

Draft. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and tropical fruit flavor with light caramel. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and tropical fruit linger with caramel.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 seanbhudson (57) - , California, USA - DEC 23, 2010
On Tap at The Reagle Beagle
APPEARANCE:
Clear orange amber color with moderate lacing.
AROMA:
Moderate aroma of pine and orange zest and sugar cookie.
TASTE:
Pine and grapefruit bitterness is more pronounced in the taste but there is enough malt to make it drinkable. Unfortunately I am also picking up a hint of soap.
MOUTHFEEL:
Medium body, finishes a bit crisp. Well carbonated.
DRINKABILITY:
A decent IPA but not much complexity.

On tap at Taps. Pours with a clear golden body and a slow to fade white head. Aroma is fruity with citrus and papaya. Dry with a hint of table sugar. Taste is dry, grain, bitter, melon, citrus zest, and very light bodied. Dry with good carbonation.

A: The pour is light amber in color with a thin white head on top and some mild lacing.
S: The nose is very heavy on the citrus hops. The grapefruit is the primary aroma with a bit of sweet, caramel malt in the background.
T: The citrus is a bit less pronounced than in the nose. Still some good grapefruit flavor, but less intense than I was expecting. There’s a bit of bready malt as the backbone along with a touch of pine.
M: The body is medium with the usual low carbonation of a cask conditioned ale.
D: This is one of the better Taps beers I’ve had. A great nose and a pretty decent flavor to it. I would like to try it on tap to see how it compares to the cask.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ChazMania (588) - Pasadena, California, USA - JUL 3, 2009
On cask pump. I have had this IPA a number of times, but on cask, it was really good. Much more hop aroma and bitterness. A rather fun drinking IPA. I tried to get my growler filled with it but they wouldn’t do a growler of a cask beer.
