Draught at Taps Istanbul, Istanbul. Rough notes from May 08. Poured amber with a strong presence of caramel malt character. Some fruitiness in the flavour with a bitter finish.

Malty aroma, slightly smoky quality, some yeast and rye notes. Amber color with frothy tan head. Flavor is malty caramel with some slight rye notes, sweetish. Low carbonation. Slightly flat. Bottle may be a bit old. Duration is bitter sweet and lingering.

Bottle from Migros Supermarket in Bursa: No suitable glass available so drank straight from the bottle. Virtually no fruitiness or much taste at all. The only thing that made me think that this was anything other than a standard light beer (which is the norm in Turkey) was the taste of the Belgian yeast strain. Very dissappointing. This is not a good representation of a Belgian Strong Ale. Granted, the bottle could have been sitting in the cooler for god-only-knows how long.

Clear amber colour with a small dense off white head. Heavy overripe fruity sweet aroma with vague notes of toffee and alcohol. Malty, caramel sweet flavor with a light fruity note. Light dry and vague alcohol sweet finish.

Bottle at the brewpub in Atiye Sokak, Istanbul
Red-amber color. The caramel flavor seems to be stronger than in the others, but this as well lacks in complexity and a more interesting hopping. The malt leaves a light fruitness.
