Amber color with frothy tan head. Flavor is malty caramel with some slight rye notes, sweetish. Low carbonation. Slightly flat. Bottle may be a bit old. Duration is bitter sweet and lingering. YodaB (10), Massachusetts, USA Jan 26, 2008 Bottle from Migros Supermarket in Bursa: No suitable glass available so drank straight from the bottle. Virtually no fruitiness or much taste at all. The only thing that made me think that this was anything other than a standard light beer (which is the norm in Turkey) was the taste of the Belgian yeast strain. Very dissappointing. This is not a good representation of a Belgian Strong Ale. Granted, the bottle could have been sitting in the cooler for god-only-knows how long. omhper (12155), Stockholm, Sweden Nov 16, 2007 Bottled at North Shield, Istanbul. Brownish amber. Sweet and caramelly. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Solid and warming with lingonberry and caramel. Medium bitterness. ThomasE (5179), Copenhagen, Denmark Oct 19, 2007 Clear amber colour with a small dense off white head. Heavy overripe fruity sweet aroma with vague notes of toffee and alcohol. Malty, caramel sweet flavor with a light fruity note. Light dry and vague alcohol sweet finish. efesfici (6), istanbul, Turkey does not count Jun 7, 2007 sweet-young-fruity. shouldn’t be much more bitter?medium body; not bad-drinkable :) fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy May 1, 2007 Bottle at the brewpub in Atiye Sokak, Istanbul Red-amber color. The caramel flavor seems to be stronger than in the others, but this as well lacks in complexity and a more interesting hopping. The malt leaves a light fruitness.
