3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Bar Volo IPA Day. Reminds me of a Belgian IPA. Cloudy grapefuit and fruit shake look, yet still reveals carbonation bubbles. Lacey. Yeastiness and wheat more than malt noticed as offset to hops. Good drinkability though average mouthfeel. Faint hop aroma.

Tap, at volo, the body was and thick, it had a good hop character, it wasnt a super bitter beer but it had a really nice finish and an all around tasty beer. Not sure if it is actaully different then their single hop brew but it did taste similar

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Volo. Dark amber-brown pour with thin head. Hoppy aroma, lots of grapefruit and earthy smells, some burnt caramel and dark malt aromas too. Taste is bitter, lots of toffee, grapefruit fruitiness and a long bitter hop finish. Palate is heavy, carbonation is average. Definitely one of those "canadian" IPAs to me, heavy and malty, not very dry, and immensely bitter. Good.

[3946-20110902] Tap. Toasted earthy grains aroma. Clear, Amber orange body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Toasted sweet grains continues in the flavour. Medium body has a kick of bitterness in the finish. Good, drinkable, in great shape. (7/3/7/3/13) 3.3

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
2011-08-24.Dark orange amber body, modest white head and lace. Flavour starts mild but gains bitterness as you go. Modest hops throughout, light green left character and something else from the hops that I can not quite narrow down. Toasty malt undercurrent with muted caramel malt. Mild hoppy bitterness lingers pleasantly in the finish. Mild aroma, modest green hops with light earthy touch. Average palate. Nice, with a different hop character than expected. Interesting. On tap at the brewpub.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
not sure it should be in the IPA category, more of a APA IMO. nice citrus hoppiness throughout. had it at the end of the night, so my only tasting note was ’Logan like’. so I think I liked it.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Deep amber pour with a tight white head. Tthe aroma is quite spicy and slightly fruity. A bit of earthiness and some lighter almost noble aromatic spiciness. Fresh and quite peppery as well with a rich lingering resinous finish. Fruity with a bit of zest. A simple, but well-constructed IPA.
