A good looking lager.....light amber in the glass, nice 2 finger frothy cap that laces up the glass sides. Aroma is bready, spicey with a light whiff of "sour" from the lager yeast. Body is medium, mouthfeel clean sharp with a decent malt spine. You taste the substantial Briess malts instantly as a sweet doughy bearing then the cascades balance it off well with a sharp grapefruit "bite"...finishes clean with light bittering and a biscuity after taste. A simple but well put together lager that satisfies and refreshes....just the ticket for sessions. gj40333 (3), Virgil, Ontario, Canada does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 11, 2005 Rich in flavour very nice colour. Pours a bubbly clear amber-gold with a spare diminishing white head. Mild aroma and flavour of fresh hops, sweet malt, caramel and fruit. A little mild but very drinkable. Another good micro Canadian Lager that shows how poor the big macro boys’ stuff is. Good job Taps. HogTownHarry (4002), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2005 Draught. At October 2005 Winking Judge BeerFest, Hamilton. Poured oily deep clear amber-gold with a minimal white head. Aroma of clean fresh hops, mild malt, some honeyish grain and a touch of citrus zest. Flavour of mild citrusy hops, fresh mild malt, a bit of pine resin and floral character - nice, if thin and a little too sweet. Average, slightly lively palate, not offensive in any way. Overall mild, drinkable, a touch sweet, but a pretty solid pale lager without the usual nastiness of the type. tupalev (2616), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Light yellow lager appearance with a decent sized white head. Light crisp mouthfeel, slightly hoppy, and very fresh tasting. A little bit of unnecessary sweetness crept in as it warmed, but otherwise, a very decent beer. Good luck Taps.
