3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured on tap at Taps. An amber ale. Smells somewhat of caramel. Has a creamy and smooth feel, though lacks a very distinct flavor. Not too memorable, but decent.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear brew with a burnt wood/auburn colour. Aroma of malts, biscuit, caramel and slight roast. There is also a fair amount of yeasty notes in the brew. On the palate it proves to be medium bodied, creamy texture and has a fast finish. Sociable beer with a flavour that is lightly roasted.

Such a wonderful refreshing beer. Pours a copper red with a large white head. Nutty aroma, with a strong caramel malty nose as well. Low spicy hop aroma as well. Tastes of caramel malt and a little spicy hop flavor as well. Balanced toward malty. Wonderful beer.

Had it from a tap at Taps Brewery in Niagara Falls - nothing really to write about. Just there.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Originally rated January 2007. Second brew tasted from Taps Brewing, found in cans at the LCBO. Pours a hazy copper-amber colour with good decent small bubbled carbonation. Very nice creamy off-white head that leaves lacing all around. Great nose of butterscotch and nuts, with a little hop. Then something odd happens. Sourness appears. And when tasted, a real sour punch occurs. Not a bad one though, and does not feel like a beer-turned-bad. Maybe because this one is not a macro ? I read others that have not had this problem. Must be a good cream ale at that point. Too bad, their premium lager turned bad on me quickly once I bought it. Had to drainpour my last bottle.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Typing this from my iPhone as I’m sitting here drinking a pint at Taps on Queen.
Bartender recommended this but it’s been the weakest of all so far tonight.
Not really much to it as another poster alluded to. Very minimal, boring aroma is where it really suffers IMO. Tastes of malt and some burnt sugar.
Not a terrible brew but as a "cream ale" I don’t find it very creamy (nor aromatic and flavorful)

On tap at merchant ale house. Not much to it. I had this late in the night so I would like to try again in a can.

On tap at Taps, amber-red color, with a beige head, light toasted, caramel malt, metallic nose with a hint of soapy detergent for cleaning tank, and a subtle fruitiness aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet grainy, toasty, biscuity, caramel malt, fruity, ripe apple character, with a faint cookie dough, spicy nutmeg flavour, and a faint nutty accent, leading towards a toasty, caramel malt sweetness, and a lingering hop bitterness finish.
