Bottle opened at Taps. Black pour, dark brown head. Aroma is rich and full of bourbon, some coffee, oak, lots of chocolate, mexican vanilla. Flavor is full and sweet. Loads of bourbon, chocolate, asphalt, vanilla and a hint of coffee. Yes!

11.2oz bottle. just another gem from my buddy deftim. thanks, tim! pours a deep, rich garnet that sits black in the glass topped by a razor thin beige head that leaves a tight ring of lace. aroma is truly wonderful with and quite unique with notes of heavy dark chocolate, black cherries, plum skins, and brown-sugar coated figs backed by toffee, toasted barrel, coconut cookies, and spice cake. flavor is fantastic as well with more rich barrel notes of vanilla, coconut, caramel, and ashy bourbon coming forward ahead of black forest cake (chocolate and cherry), vinous notes, and cinnamon with a touch of roast on the back end. palate is smooth and full bodied with a rich, velvety texture and a beautifully balanced finish of chocolate, dark fruits, and woody bourbon. overall, this really is a great barrel aged imperial stout that represents the essence of the style.

bottle from nick 7/28/12. creamy thick nearly black pour with a dense brown head. intense aroma of coconut, vanilla, bourbon, bs, roast, chocolate and coffee. the flavor is the same but tannic barrel qualities come through to make the lux mouth feel far too drinkable. awesome brown sugar and bourbon coffee aftertaste. loving this....8.5/4/8.5/4/18+

Pour out of bottle thanks DrBill! Pour was black as night with creamy tan head, aroma brought notes of big caramel, toffee, dark chocolate, roasted oak, coffee and espresso in there as well, bourbon and vanilla notes shown through. Taste was big and thick and delicious, hints of dark fruit complement the overwhelming chocolate, coffee, and toffee notes, some nice vanilla, bourbon notes sweeten the middle before the roast and coffee come back to bitter and dry it out. Very well done.

Toasted cocnut vanilla. Deep vrown with a tan head. Toasted coconut vanilla with roasty and chocolate notes. Great beer, the bourbon stops short of being overbearing.

Served from a bottle at the Stone 14th Anniversary Celebration. The appearance is a beautiful brown black with a small brown head. The flavors and aromas are rich with vanilla bean, bourbon (a lot in the nose), and touches of coffee, and dark chocolate. A nice offering, good luck to them at GABF.

Bottle... This beer rocks!… Pours new-moon black with a fleeting, off-white head. The bouquet is a luxuriant intermingling of bourbon and toasted coconut with an undercurrent of black mocha - dark chocolate and café cubano. Full-bodied and creamy with lazy carbonation. The decadent flavor presents sweet fudge and vanilla crème accompanied by a generous measure of lush, buttery caramel. Finishes rich, sweet and warming. Big-time thanks to newcigarz for sharing this world class treat!
