We used the classic Dupont yeast, grains of paradise, and chamomile to brew this Belgian Farmhouse Ale. Light in body and color, nice and spicy, a bit citrusy, with a crisp, refreshing finish. (5.6% abv)

Poured a clear gold with a lasting white head. Aromas of straw, white pepper, light yeast and a hint of citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, white pepper, yeast and light fruitiness with a crisp dry lingering peppery finish.

A: The beer pours a cloudy and pale yellow color with a soapy white head and some spotty lacing. S: Smells pretty bready with a decent amount of spice, probably of the added variety rather than yeast/fermentation by-products. I also get some lemon peel and a slight nuttiness, almost like almonds. T: Starts off with sweet bread and malt flavor. There’s a touch of lemon zest which is lightly bitter and just slightly tart. There are a lot of herbs and spices in there and just a bit of light fruit notes. Decently dry on the back end. M: The body is light to medium with a moderate level of carbonation. D: In typical Taps fashion, this is a mediocre offering. At least I only had to choke down a partial glass rather than a pint of the stuff.

Had on tap at TAPS, Corona. Pours a hazy yellow/orange with one-finger head and good lacing. Aroma is fruits, yeast, and spices. Taste is very good, very citrus, orange, belgian yeast, spices, nice smooth, fruity, hoppy finish. Very impressed with the two offerings on tap at TAPS.

Hazy dark yellow with a fizzy white head. Grain stone fruit and mild barn yard funk aroma and taste with a refreshing straw finish.

Sampled @ the brewery. Murky lemon yellow pour with a fluffy ivory head that left a ton of lacing inside the pint glass. Aroma is citrus, pith, pepper, and yeast. Flavor is similar with the spice noticeable but not overwhelming. Medium mouthfeel with ample carbonation. Pretty damn good.

Sample from Evan from Taps. Rating #1. This was an interesting beer, Dark yellow/straw colored with a touch of gold and a very big white, fluffy head. Aroma was citrus (lemon) and spice (pepper). Flavor was very similar and pointed to more of a Wit beer than a saison, I think they are still working on this, but it was pretty good regardless of what is was. (1177)
