Nose is Carmel and hop., maybe even a bit of nut. Tastes creamy, pine hop bitter, a bit of walnut nut too.

Growler from the brewpub, shared with Steve and Mike, served cool in a tulip glass. 29AL12.
App.: Slightly hazy amber with a decent light tan head.
Aroma: Quite British, earthy, a little floral, pine/resin, stern caramel/toffee malts, a touch fruity.
Palate: Medium body, very relaxed effervescence.
Flav.: Esters (bubble gum), earthy, British, decent hops- pine, resin, etc., brown sugar, maple, light raisins/dark dried fruits; dry with decent bitterness and a British malt finish.
A decent British-style IPA. Not that sinister or insane.

On tap at Taps. Hazy dark orange pour, thick cream head. Strong aromas of grapefruit, pine, caramel, slightly floral. Very smooth. Solid dose of citrus, but the thing I find interesting about it was the creamy texture. Not as "Insane" as I expected but nice balance and well hidden booze. Solid.

Growler from brewpub in Niagara. Pretty significant hop base up front. Some very mild malt balance in the middle and the typical hop bitterness in the end. Pretty solid beer.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 blankboy (5151) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 26, 2011
Draught at Burger Bar. Pours a clear, deep copper with a small diminishing frothy white head. Mild but pleasant resiny hop aroma along with a hint of sweetness, some grain and sweet malt. Flavour of resiny hops, mostly in the finish (as is often the case in Ontario). Decent bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. Didn’t knock my socks off but good enough that I’d drink it again.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 JRock72 (605) - - APR 4, 2011
On tap at Niagara’s best. Light brown with light head that retains. I would have liked to see more hops come through this one but still a nice balanced beer.
