3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle (Gyvas, Kaunas)
6 Savory aroma - to me, soy
4 Dark red, small head.
6 Big grainy body. That’s pretty much the thrust of this beer - malted barley.
4 Yeah, there in the finish too, for quite a while - a bucket load of barley.
12 Very solid dark lager. Slipped down easily, and gave no hint of being 6%

Medium pale beige head. Hazy brown body. Earthy mealy caramel aroma with nutty bready notes. Dry-sweet nutty earthy caramel taste with mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry earthy bready caramelly aftertaste with mealy rye notes. Lovely! Drinkable, full of flavour, and really unusual. Characteristic kaimiškas flavour, however they do it. (0.5l bottle from Bamb Alyne, Vilnius.)

The head is ok, the body brown. It smells malty, creamy-raisin. The taste is creamy-raisin, darkmalty-creamy, a bit alcoholic. 11/11/11/11/11/11

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
In short: A toasted and fruity copper beer with a little countryside character. Nice
How: Bottle 500ml. Consumed fresh the day after purchase, split 2-way
The look: Cloudy copper body topped by a small white head
In long: Nose has nice toasted cereals and a nice farmhouse/henhouse character that I often found in Lithuanian Šviesus but rarely in their Tamsus. Taste has crisp toasted hay/cereals, sine juicy raisins, some juicy caramel, some sweet grapes, yeast. Rural Lithuanian farmhouse character less present in mouth than in the aroma. Mouthfeel is smooth with soft bubbles. Those Lithuanian farmhouse beers are surprising at first but I quickly developed a liking for them, thus once again confirming my belief that everything that isn’t beer is just a waste of atoms.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Mild aroma but still very fresh, with hay, lactic notes, and sugar and baking bread. Excellent head retention. Bready flavors, slightly sour, mildly bitter, mildly sweet. Better than the light one yesterday.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
pours nice light brown colour with a nice head, sustainable, off-brown,
aroma typical for dunkels , candy, syrup, malt, also some banana
taste is rather sour with fruity notes (apple, lemon) and some candy ,
in my opinion this is not a nice brew. average dunkel with flat taste and strange moughfeel, maybo not for my taste
