Interesting, powerfully "living" yeasty beer, it’s a good combination of a Ternopil-style zhyve pivo with a Helles, with a bit of Hefeweizen wheat. Way better than estonian mass-market for sure, and a welcome gift from LT houseguests

50cl bottle. Looks like hefeweizen (due to being unfiltered), tastes like a good helles. Aroma of honey and strong yeast taste (again, due to sediment). Carbonation close to zero. Sticky texture, medium body. A bit too much yeast for me. All in all - good brew. Number 20 from top Lithuanian beers.

In short: A thirst blonde lager with a light countryside twist. Nice
How: Tap at Gyvas Pub, Kaunas, Lithuania
The look: Mostly clear blond body topped by a small white head
In long: Nose is wet hay, a bit of wet cat, cereals, a bit of grass. Taste has plenty of chewy hay, a tiny bit of honey, light tropical fruits and banana notes, light presence of herbaceous hops. A nice thirst lager with discreet notes of the Lithuanian farmhouse/terroir. I can’t believe the many bad ratings that this fine beer has on this website, but if there’s one important lesson I’ve learnt ever since I was a little kid and read Three Little Pigs it is that 2 individuals out of 3 are idiots.

Tap (Gyvas, Kaunas)
5 Slightly dirty aroma, again creamy to cottage cheese.
3 Slightly hazy gold, small white head, some lacing.
6- Simple dull taste, some bitter and slightly brackeny hops.
4 Simple palate, crisp carbonation. Massive perfumed soap finish that builds up slowly. Dry and well attenuated.
11+ Very solid light lager. Easy to drink but flavoursome. Strongest point is its finish - that’s a win.

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of straw, vinegar, butter, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemons, vinegar, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.
