3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 8, 2011
Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of Schroppfy. Pours a cloudy amber with a lacing off-white head. The nose has a little exotic fruit and dryish(!) caramel accents. Light body, again this interesting lactic tartness. Overripe fruitiness, rustic metallic notes with a dry finish. Again hardly any hops. Very far from what you’d normally associate with a Dunkel! 080911

Quite a decent brew. An aboundant head and orange/ruby colour of body, aroma is definetly fruity and yeasty, also some malt, taste is citrus, tea, a bit sour,, the first impression is complex and decent brew, however I wouldn;t buy it again beceuse of this sourness,(like a grapefruit)

2 litre bottle from Beers Of Europe.Dark Lithuanian beer sampled between the members of our small beer club. This beer poured with a small head and quickly produced aromas of malt and hay. These were evident in the taste also along with toffee and caramel.Citrus also came through on 3rd or 4th sip.Sour taste in there too but was nicely balanced by the toffee notes.Nice start to the days sample session.
